Needs Advice (Gaming P.C)

Well that's why,i didn't see availability issues above, well if that's the case then CM 430 is ok,speaking of availability i went to lammy the other day and many shops didn't knew whats NZXT is,on guy asked me you need the case then get CM i said Nzxt then he was like you need case right.
<
He is in Bihar and he has clearly mentioned that he has only Cooler Master and Zebronics available locally.

I wouldn't have recommended the eLite 430 until as a last ditch manoeuvre. Also honestly I don't think OP needs the current crop of upgrades, he should wait for Haswell -- Q1 2013.

Isn't cooler master case available in your area cause zebronics don't have many cases in the market except for bijli which you should avoid strictly as i'm myself gonna get rid of soon, try finding CM 430 Elite or you can try Zebronics Bijli 2 or Aviator.

I m thinking for a z77 mobo now then wait for 3770.

n getting the coolermaster 212 cpu cooler and whats the price of bijli 2?

#[member='Akash'] Sire do not buy the Zebronics Bijli 2 and honestly I am reiterating that your current RIG is fine, go for Intel Haswell chips when they come out in early 2013 the Ivy-Bridge line-up is improvement in TDP of Sandy-Bridge the Haswell will be a performance leap with TDP being tightened.

Here is why I repeat wait for Haswell --> http://www.techpowerup.com/162429/Intel-Haswell-and-Lynx-Point-Chipset-Arrive-in-March-2013-Report.html / http://www.extremetech.com/computing/117501-intels-haswell-will-include-new-multi-core-enhancements / http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/cpu/display/20120209132705_Intel_Haswell_to_Boost_Efficiency_of_Highly_Threaded_Applications.html.

And #[member='Jakob'] honestly I thought you knew better, recommending a the Bijli 2, here is a review by The Sorcerer -- http://www.techencla...chassis-review/.

Hope this helps, Cheers!!

Look i know zeb bijli 2 isn't that good but i don't know what op has available at his place,he says he doesn't have CM cases there so zeb bijli 2 is the only ok case so just given an opinion, don't know what else to suggest.

I would not replace anything for that Chinese JUNK, a cheap ~1000/- bucks case will make more sense and value. Also Bijli 2 ~3500/- --> 4000/- sorry, OP is better off shipping the NZXT Gamma OR Cooler Master 690 Advanced II from Kolkata.

Op has to get the case shipped Corsair 400R OR CM 690II should be the choice.

The main motive behind changing to intel bcoz my system seems to be slow and it automatically switches off on getting heated (if i play gta4 for 20 min)also the system speed seems to be slow.

The installition processes n copying something etc tends to work slow

what cost difference may be in haswell proccy

The main motive behind changing to intel bcoz my system seems to be slow and it automatically switches off on getting heated (if

i play gta4 for 20 min)also the system speed seems to be slow.

This can be attributed to overheating of individual components, especially the graphics card and processor. To remedy this follow these steps --
  • Install a third party heat-sink replacing the stock AMD HSF, go for something on the lines of the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO ~2200/- OR above.
  • Change you current cabinet for a Cooler Master 690 ~3900/- OR Corsair Carbide 400R ~5400/-.
  • Using these two components set-up a good airflow inside the cabinet for the speedy evacuation of heat inside your PC to prevent further over-heating.
  • Re apply the TIM on the processor and thoroughly clean your cabinet before re-installation. If you are unsure on this step, refer to these links --> http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2009/02/16/all-about-tim/1 / http://www.techpowerup.com/printarticle.php?id=134.

These steps will ensure better performance from your PC and will extend its life. I concur it is heat related issue because you are in Bihar and currently Delhi is hot, so I can only imagine what it might be there [Patna].

Try to get these components from Kolkatta if the local PC waala is uncooperative. This way at the maximum you will spend ~10000/- [if you are getting a really good cabinet + Noctua NH-U12P SE2], the rest [cash] you can save and use when Haswell debuts.

what cost difference may be in haswell proccy

Haswell comes in Q1 2013, cannot give you an estimated price OR how expensive it will be vis-a-vis current processors. Either ways the performance increment will be ~20% minimum over current crop of Ivy-Bridge chips. Depending on any other advances that Intel stuffs into it the performance may go up 50% vis-a-vis Sandy-Bridge at similar OR lower TDP vis-a-vis Ivy-Bridge.

Hope this helps, Cheers!!

will there be any speed difference in ivy bridge n x4 955 be?bcoz i cant wait till haswell

Definitely there will be a step-up of ~50% performance from Phenom IIx4 955 to Ivy-Bridge based quad-core.

But I still do not get it why are you so desperate for an immediate purchase, I think you will end up having problems in your new setup too if you do not buy a decent cabinet and better SMPS.

Hope this helps, Cheers!!

but in the cooler master is also 80+

and also the cpu calculator give 550vx as option to have

And what is the price of cm 212

the upgrades i want bcoz i hav money now otherwise i would end up the money elsewhere

and also the upcoming three months i have time for gaming otherwise i would be concentrating on study.

so please suggest upgrades.

and when intel 3770 will be availabe in india

Yes I understand Sire, how old is your model? If it is really old, try to replace it for the Cooler Master Silent Pro M500 OR Corsair VX550W ~4500/- --> 5200/- tops.

And what is the price of cm 212

The street price in major metros is ~2200/- --> 2500/-, in Patna I assume some shop will be willing to bring it from Kolkatta OR Delhi and the price should be ~2700/- tops. If you want it shipped from Bombay here is option on TE itself --> http://www.techenclave.com/topic/508535-coolermaster-hyper-212-evo-cpu-cooler/.

and also the upcoming three months i have time for gaming otherwise i would be concentrating on study.

Are you in college Sire OR appearing for 12th boards. Either ways your current RIG will weather all current and next generation games pretty easily. I don't think you need a Core i7 2600 to enjoy the current crop of games, maybe ~1 --> 2 years down the line you will need to overhaul your entire setup.

so please suggest upgrades.

Not really required Sire, not in the light of what I have been trying to convince you of.

and when intel 3770 will be availabe in india

Late May --> Early June if things roll smoothly.

Hope this solves your queries. Cheers!!

I want to upgrae because I m fed up of my system.it works slowly and also I think the processor can't cope-up with the gpu.the hell I want upgrade now bcoz I m having holidays.also I don't overclock as I don't know how to also I fear it might break down my system.also the smps that's the cm 550 is recommended.as a waste I have corsair 450 if that can help please tell.please suggest a cpu cooler if needed as I don't oc that is around 1.5 k as I can't afford to have 2.7k now Can't the stock intel i7 cooler handle the heat?I m in 11th the classes tends to start in july thats the main motive behind the upgrades.

Got your point Sire.

Okay if you want to know whether Intel stock heat-sinks make the cut, check this article --> http://www.thinkdigit.com/forum/cpu-motherboards/142397-cpu-cooler-guide-sandy-bridge.html.

Now my honest opinion of the AMD stock cooler is that it is way better than what Intel bundles with its own processors. Also I think the issue is not your CPU being incapable to feed the graphics card but rather that it is overheating thanks to the summer heat. If you will buy a decent cabinet and a third party cooler to set-up a airflow in your cabinet your problem will be remedied with a minimum of expenditure.

I did not get this you are willing to invest upto ~30000/- on a Processor + motherboard, but cannot allocate ~2500/- for a decent CPU cooler and a cabinet [add ~4000/- --> 5500/- for this].

If you insist on not over-clocking and still want a fresh build, go for the following configuration --

Intel Core i7 2600 ~16500/- + Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO ~2500/- [the cooler is a must buy]

Intel DH67-BL ~5400/-

Cooler Master 690 ~3900/- [this cabinet is also essential]

Hope this helps, Cheers!!

P.S. -- As a favor can you please take a few photographs of your cabinets and share them via TinyPic. It will give us a better idea about your components and how they are set-up.

Also I am tagging Cooler Master's online Rep to handle your query of availability of products [Cooler Master exclusively] in Patna. #[member='Coolermaster']
