More like a slim and flat nano. It was nano 3rd gen. IMO it looked better than these.

SO I assume it would be safe to buy it from ebay. WHat say?

Yeah, that's the 3rd Gen one, but the new Nano is significantly better than its 3'rd Gen counterpart and if it was me, i'd have grabbed the New one.

Anyways, choice ultimately lies with you.

And about the Ebay thing, if the Seller has enough positive Rep then i suppose there should be no issues.

ehehe, i am going to regent street apple store tomorrow, lets see what the availability/prices are...

Here is the price listing of iPods in India at imagine and istore

New iPod Nano 8GB -RS 8,300
New iPod Nano 16 GB -RS 10,600
New iPod Classic 120GB -RS 14,100

These are the only new iPod devices available in India.F@&#king morons :@ are telling me it will take another 10 days for iPod touch to reach India.First ,we have to put up with the ridiculous pricing and then the device is not even available in India.

@vishal rao
If you are planning to buy iPod touch buy it in london itself.I dont know when it is expected in In.dia

oh too bad, thanks for the update sandy. i might be here for a couple more weeks so will buy it here if not available in india by then... even though the price is almost the same even with VAT refund! its GBP 170 before 17.5 % VAT for the 8gb model.

and i was so engrossed playing with the ipod touch, forgot to take a pic of the thing displaying this website! oh no i think i am turning into a dreaded apple fanboi :P will try to return to the store tomorrow and grab those pics :ohyeah:

ok my mistake... price is GBP 169 all inclusive... meaning about 155 pounds after VAT refund (there is a 10 pound charge for VAT refund so I dont get the full GBP 25 refunded) so thats about Rs 13k for the 8gb touch in London.

meaning... i just bought the 8gb touch this morning! will post pics in show-off section :ohyeah:

Checking out Settings->General->About->Legal. There is a huge interesting list of open source software and libraries mentioned in there.... everything from BSD, GNU, Mach, Google, Sun, KDE all sorts of stuff they are using... really impressive.

Bumping, any updates on the touch availability here? Called up The Adlabs Imagine store yest, the guy said "two more weeks", seems to be their staple answer :no:

Has the 2nd gen touch been spotted anywhere else in pune?
