Hello, I wish to sell my CM Hyper 212 Plus . It is one month old. I bought it for 2k. What should be a good price to sell it ?

ok, I know it's a long shot ANYONE will want this, but here goes:

1999 model HP Brio Bax

Pentium 3 600mhz

onboard matrox mga g200 grfx

onboard crystal sound card

256 mb sdram

4 gb (yes, you read that right) HDD

15" HP monitor

HP keyboard + mouse

Original Win 98 with HP drivers preconfigured

You can pretty much forget gaming, but it's still pretty good for low-intensity tasks such as Word, simple Net surfing. Hell, I'm still using it even now for daily tasks, even movies (though with a 250 gb USB + 22" monitor).

Any idea how much this will fetch?

i think 15k is too less for a PC with a 17" screen + Dedicated Video Card + All the goodies as you get in any pavilion...

i've seen people buying used PC of the config that DarkAngel Mentioned for 20k or more

BTW have you seen the config Difference in My Lappy & Darky's Lappy.

how come they both be sold for 15k? :S

I've even upgraded the RAM to 2GB..

No it isnt. seriously who would buy that for 20k?, its 2 year old base laptops. I know its hard to accept but i am just saying from what i observe.

I sold the somewhat same config of the dell on a compaq for 17k abt 4 months ago.

And bigger the screen size in laptops is kinda moot point. and isnt bigger ones always priced lower.

And both the laptops are over 2 years old. so 15k is a very good price mate. Try listing it at 20k shipped. see if any one bites.

And if any case, i think the dell may get better price than the HP one.

As far laptops are concerned, a bigger screen means a lower price. And the point is not that the person has paid 65k for it 2 years back and kept it in great condition by storing it permanently in a safe deposit locker... It's the current technologies and pricing for the same that matter.

yea i think, people are right, those laptops would fetch around 15k itself...nothing more...and the ipod nano may fetch 1.5k or so...

hmm..

i'm thinking that it would be better if i keep it..

coz C2D's aren't outdated now..

if i upgrade a HDD to SSD then will it affect the performance by a huge margin??

also, was interested in upgrading the RAM even furthur.. is it possible to upgrade to 4Gigs??

Now u talking sense. :).

But if u can afford it then better to sell it at the highest price u get and get urself a new one. Its nearing 3 year already. but if its mundane tasks then ur better off with it.

if i sell this one then also,i've to buy a new one & put some money in it..

i don't need more power,instead just a nice performance..coz i've my desktop for gaming

for 15-20k it's a big NO NO from my side..

i'll rather keep it..
