yeah you can upgrade to upgrade ryzen 3600 or 3600x rather than ryzen 3 3000 series i have ryzen 1300x and my bro got ryzen 5 3600 i saw its has its own potential it would be huge upgrade from 1200 to ryzen 5 3600. normally my ryzen 1300x,windows 10 its occupies 20% of cpu usage even if i dont use anything i am also using same kingston ssd with 16gb 3200 g skill. but my bro pc ryzen 3600 occupies only 4%.from this you can see huge difference upgrade. just go for ryzen 5 3xxx or 5xxx series dont choose ryzen 3 its only has 4 core in future its like now a days dual core/Hello, I am a new member, I would like to know how much can I expect from my current config, I am trying to either get an upgrade or to jump ship to intel.
All components were purchased in Dec 2017, apart from GPU & RAM all out of warranty i guess, haven't checked.
Config:
CPU: Ryzen 3 1200 (had OC'd to 3.5ghz, couldn't do more on stock cooler)
MOBO: MSI B350M PRO VD PLUS
RAM: Crucial CT8G4DFS8213 8GB 2133MHz DDR4 288-Pin Desktop Memory (working perfectly on 2400mhz since purchased)
GPU: MSI GTX 1050 ti GDDR5 (Micron)
PSU: Cooler master 400W 80 plus
Storage 1: 500G WD Blue sata HDD
Storage 2: 480G kingston sata SSD
Cabinet: Generic zebronics
PS: do let me know if its worth to upgrade to Ryzen 3xxx series on same mobo with upgraded ram or shall I skip the platform all together? thanks.
