Any news on how the camera perform in sufficient light? I need to get a new phone soon, and can't decide between 808 and 920.

I really feel you ought to wait for a comprehensive review. Should be there before the end of October - just a month left.

Dude, its a no-brainer really.

If you want a camera that can make calls, get the 808.

If you want a smartphone, get the 920.

Comprehensive review and price-drop to normal levels. :p I'm sure nokia will go crazy with pricing. Hope the 920 is under 35k.

We don't know yet how "smart' the 920 is. Will have to wait for WP8 official launch.
Also, I need to know how much of a compromise pureview phase II is over phase I. If the camera turns out not that great (other than low light), and wp8 doesn't add much over wp7 - well then I'll just go for the 808 :)

I agree on the "price-drop" part. Judging by the rave reviews and the enthusiasm everywhere, Nokia sure is not going to price it less than the competing flagship phones - iPhone 5, HTC One X, Samsung S3 etc. They are going to try to milk that maximum out of the early adopters - probably first 2-3 months. I think an initial price of 35-40k is not unwarranted for - considering the fact that they are releasing the Lumia 900 for 32k right now :|

But, once that dies, I think we can expect the 920 to be around 30-35k.

That is precisely why I am going to wait till around Feb 2013 before I upgrade my HD7.

I really don't want Symbian on my phone when Windows Phone 8 is an option. I don't think that it is any secret that I am completely sold on Windows Phone 8. :p

No point in going with symbian at this stage of ecosystem war and according to some early reports, Lumia 920 produces better pictures most of the times in hands of an average joe, here are two articles on this:

Nokia wins this hands down - more stability, greater field-of-view (more information captured) and better colors! :clapping::sign07:

The more hype it generates, the more scared I get about pricing. I think nokia India must probably be dreaming about 45k+ by now :(

I'm waiting to see the camera comparison between the 920 and Xperia S. Everyone seems to be bothered about the GS3, One X and iPhone 5 but the Xperia S has a better camera than these and it should prove good competition for the 920

vid is up on engadget! just live the 920.. perfect stabilization n good clarity.

+1 for nokia 920

Those results are pretty good. And coming from a third party makes it believable as well. Nice phone and I quite like it

The only downer for me was the glossy finish of the device. I really wish it was a matte like the 800. :(

Any idea when the device would launch in India?

^ I squirm every time he brings the fork down on the screen!

Firstly, don't convert EU prices to $ - it is not the same. There is VAT and everything is more expensive there.

Secondly, don't take these as official prices - these are pre-order prices to fuel speculation and earn some money beforehand.

Thirdly, even if it were true, it is on par (a little cheaper actually) than a fully unlocked iPhone 5 32GB http://store.apple.com/uk/browse/home/shop_iphone/family/iphone/iphone5

Lastly, don't convert EU prices to $ - yes I know I have mentioned that earlier, but people still keep doing it again and again.
