News NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Is 2x Faster Than 4080 At $999, RTX 5070 Ti 2x Faster Than 4070 Ti At $769, RTX 5070 Faster Than 4090 For $549

I’m still running a 1070 and it’s good enough for 1080p gaming. Is everyone gaming in 4k these days? Does everyone have a 4k monitor now? Am l stuck in the past or something?
1080p is still the standard and will continue to be for years to come so you have nothing to worry about. Because getting decent fps at higher resolution even 1440p come at a high price, monitor costs as well as the graphics cards. For graphics card a used 3060Ti is in a good spot right now for 1080p. They can be seen going for around 14-17k depending on the variant. If you can stretch to 20k or so you'll be able to grab a 3070Ti. But don't go for the 3060. Despite the higher memory it's an inferior model.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Listed For $549 On Best BUY, Listing Reveals ASUS PRIME Edition GPU

ASUS's Custom NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 12GB GDDR7 Listed on Best Buy for MSRP Ahead of Launch

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 looks ready to hit the market as one of its custom editions has already been listed on a retailer.

It may seem as a surprise to see the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 already being listed on a retailer. Since most RTX 50 series GPUs are already out of stock, seeing an upcoming RTX 50 series GPU and that too being listed for its official MSRP is a bit surprising. It's not yet available for purchase, and won't be till NVIDIA lifts the embargo on the sales.

As spotted by @momomo_us, the ASUS PRIME GeForce RTX 5070 12GB GDDR7 GPU is currently live on Best Buy for $549.99. The official MSRP for the Founders Edition of the RTX 5070 is $549 and, since the PRIME RTX 5070 from ASUS is the base card, it was expected that it would be priced at $549 as well. However, seeing the recent RTX 50 launches, we can't guarantee that the price will remain the same when the GPU launches.

Moreover, it's possible that not only does the price get a hefty increase on the launch date, but the GPU also goes out of stock instantly. At the moment, all the launched RTX 50 series GPUs such as RTX 5090, RTX 5080, and RTX 5070 Ti are out of stock or are incredibly expensive in almost all parts of the world. This scarcity is said to be created by NVIDIA itself, but since AMD is about to launch its RX 9070 GPUs next week, it will create some pressure on NVIDIA as the RTX 5070 is set to launch a day before, i.e., on 5th March.

Considering that AMD has the Radeon RX 9070 at $549 as a direct competitor to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070, NVIDIA may want to increase the supply drastically, unlike what it did with the previous cards. AMD has promised a wide availability of its RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT GPUs and the pricing will also affect the competition a lot.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 is the fourth-fastest GPU in the Blackwell lineup, featuring 6144 CUDA Cores, 48 RT Cores, 12 GB of GDDR7 VRAM on a 192-bit bus, and a boost clock exceeding 2.5 GHz. The green team was reportedly facing some supply issues for the RTX 5070 and RTX 5060 GPUs, which indicated a delay of several weeks, but the report isn't official.

Hopefully, with competitive prices and performance, we can see both NVIDIA and AMD GPUs become widely available for their respective MSRPs.

Thank you. The 100% of that 3060ti vs my 1070’s 57% seems like a worthwhile upgrade, especially for 14m. Do I have any options on the AMD side for similar price and performance?

Also how much do you think I can sell my 1070 for? It’s a Zotac 1070 mini (the one with 2 fans).

RTX5070 which gives RTX4090 performance as boasted by Jensen for just $550 cannot run 4k monitor with Frame Generation and crashes to the desktop while enabling Ray Tracing in 1440p monitor gives 15fps in Unreal Engine 5 made latest games like Indiana Jones. Now what will Jensen tell when asked about the performance numbers or benchmark numbers? I really cannot comprehend.

Do Jensen think that gamers are idiots or blind fools I don't know.
Nobody should suggest or recommend RTX50 series GPUs to new PC buyers at all.

Didn't watch the video, but nice thumbnail. Did not realize initially that that wasnt Jim Carrey ( Tiny version on right side).

Haha from 'Liar Liar' :hilarious:

Jensen is a scumbag.

Fun fact: When Ampere launched, the 3080Ti was supposed to launch with 20 GB of VRAM (for the same MSRP that the final 12 GB version launched at). The card was produced and shipped to some retailers. At the last minute, Nvidia decided to lower the VRAM and recalled all the cards, probably because people wouldn't buy the 3090 for the ridiculous asking price, given the 3090 was only 5% faster than the 3080 Ti sans VRAM.

Thats an old nvidia trick. Value cards (relatively) usually have low VRAM and don't last well.
Did not understand when i first bought my 1050 2gb. Only understood it after buying 3080, but atleast DLSS turned out to be good to make up for it vs 6800xt.

Except the 3080Ti was FAR from a value card

Except the 30

Yes, its all relative, as you said vs 3090.

Just felt like posting this from Jim Carrey - Minor spoiler from Dumb and Dumber. Should send this to Jensen. Around 1min mark.
This was improvised btw. Guy on right starts laughing but middle guy stayed in character thankfully.
