I wonder what Rptech intends to do differently on 29th. I doubt they would increase their server capacity. Also if this is the case with 3070, 3060ti sale is going to be absolutely bonkers

Of course they'll be upgrading their servers.
They're planning on upgrading to a raspberry pi 4.
they are unlucky no one would have predicted such an unprecedented demand ,the demand is just due to bs happening around other wise no one would be buying those FE. Yeh toh inka kharcha badh gaya ,looking at the prices of other product i doubt they would be selling stuff mentioned on their site at the mentioned prices , though they are major distributor for lot of other peripherals so may be they are honoring the contract

I don't believe in this anymore but I'll try again on 29th. Just for the heck of it.
I don't think it's too far fetched to think that Rashi will have already sold these under the table at scalper prices to other rich desperate customers with personal connection to them. The online sale must just be a gimmick to tell others that they are actually trying. Or they say that their site got a million hits in 5 mins and brought the entire server down.

dude i had logged in from 9 :45 am and the page for 3070 stopped opening by 10:00 so its genuine. they should come up with token system which EVGA has implemented .So at least they know the demand and supply

Just thinking out loud, would a physical sale like how it is at Microcenter be better in managing fair allocation for the cards?

Me also thinking out loud.. i dont know how many people are requiring these fe cards like they are lifeline. In my opinion most would be selling cards that's y they want to buy the cards.

edit:- on OLX I see many people who have stacks of GPU sealed . Not even opened. And why they bought it. Simple it's easy money then stocks. Aib 3060ti is getting sold for 60k. Non-negotiable.

Yeah, FE are available at scalpers price. 80k for a 3070. 1.2L for a 3080 and 1.7L for a 3090.

The people with multiple stocks on olx could be just scams. I too have seen many.

Yeah miners are another thing now and I dont think that the situation will improve anytime sooner. NVIDIA keeps on posting rubbish news that there will be a castrated GPU with a block for miners but if they do so then who will buy their GPU's like it is being right now.

Scalpers. They have been stealing major amount of stock and reselling for exorbitant prices. Miers are not entirely the problem here. Also, nvidia has released cards specific for mining.

Miners are ready to buy the cards at any price because they know they'll make the money back anyway.
Anytime a seller posts pictures of GPUs in stock, there are people in the comment sections asking for 10 units without even asking about the price. Because theyre willing to buy for any price, scalpers also price it as high as they can.
In the end it's us consumers who get screwed over, I don't see the situation getting better for a year
