^^ Buddy swiss is an option no doubt but i also will need to work out the finances. I am sure it will be really pricey to go there.

That's the main reason now i am exploring the Thailand-Malaysia-?????? part

Come to new Zealand re.Its a sweet place.I will be your guide :P

If it's asia and a honeymoon trip, then I would suggest Bali or Andamans. Bali is a great honeymoon destination supposedly.Might be a little expensive but apparently the resorts are very courteous to honeymooning couples.Andamans is also an excellent destination. If you are looking for non crowded places with beautiful beaches and enough activity to keep you and your better half company, the Andamans it is.I suggest Havelock. There are quite a few luxury resorts even in other places.

If you wanna be a little different, check out Cambodia. There's plenty of beautiful history, scenic beauty and value for money honeymoon trip you could be looking for.

My dream destination for everything adventure. It's got snow, it's got beaches, it's got mountains, meadows. excellent roads for rides, a mecca for sports adventures.Sigh.. someday!

Ok guys so now we have rough idea about where to go...it is mostly gonna be the Thailand-Malaysia-Singapore(may be) area. So how do we take this forward ?

I had a live chat with the make my trip guy and he said that winter being peak season rates will be on higher side and also still the dates for it are not out yet. They will be out in july end or first week of august.

I will also be going to Kesari tours office this weekend to chalk out something.

I had gone on a Thailand-Malaysia-Singapore tour through Cox and kings and wouldn't recommend it for a honeymoon.

It is just too hectic !!!

Also these places are favorable for shoppers and not for your ideal relaxing holiday.

You can actually book the entire thing yourself since you have time and save yourself a bundle of money. Air Asia flies directly to Kaula Lampur and is the best deal to fly within SE Asia. I don't think any other airline can beat its rates so Malaysia is sorted. For Thailand, you should book Thai Air which would be the best option and you can contact the airlines directly or any travel agent can book it for you. Shop around for best rates and get it booked according to your dates. If you would require any changes in the flight, trust me the travel agent has very little say in it and the airline is very courteous to the customer anyway(too much competition these days). In any case, if there is a charge that needs to be paid, you will hv to pay that charge regardless of whether you booked yourself or went through a travel agent. In fact you might be able to get the airline to waive that charge but a travel agent would probably not do it. If a travel agent does offer you additional services be assured you did not get the best rate for the flight. No one pays anything out of one's own pocket for a client. For hotels, check out the best hotels based on reviews on Tripadvisor.com (thts how I select my hotels and it has never failed me till now) and then go to aisarooms.com and book your hotels. Alternatively, you can get a quote from the travel agent, if you prefer and then book thru the one providing the lowest rates. In any case, do research on the hotels yourself as you go on your honeymoon only once ;). Most of the hotels provide Airport pickup/drop service so that shouldn't be a concern either. If there's a charge for the service, the travel agent would also charge you for the same. In Bangkok and KL, meter taxi is the best option and they have pre-paid booths like the ones we have here so even transport is sorted out for you.

Its pretty easy to travel on your own without a travel agent these days because all info is available on the web. Plus most of the destinations you are planning to go to are very tourist friendly and the culture is similar to that of India so you would not feel too much out of place. I think you should decide on a destination and then start your research on the best hotels and excursions in the area and based on your budget, arrive at a custom package. Here in Delhi, the Delhi Times carries ads from many travel agencies about their various packages. I don't know if its the same where you are staying but if it is, talk to a couple of them and have them mail you their quotes. Ask them to inquire about your hotel choice as well and this will give you a pretty good idea of how much its gonna cost. Once you get to it you'll find its pretty easy. The trick is to use the service of the travel agent to YOUR advantage and not theirs. Book thru them in piecemeal and if they are giving you a better deal otherwise forget about it. They really do not add that much value these days IMO.

Just a suggestion but please do not plan a honeymoon trip for Singapore , Malaysia etc. It would not be romantic at all yaar. It would be more of a shopping and sightseeing trip which u can take anytime anyways.
Please explore the Option of Maldives,Bali, Seychelles and more importantly Lakshwadeep. Lakshwadeep is trully an amzing place going by the deserted islands, completely untouched beaches etc. IndiaMike is a good forum for some more information regarding this. Incase u still want to go to singapore and Malay check out the V-R forums and forum.Lowyat. Get in touch with some members on these forums and you will get all the information

^ I agree.Shopping is just a big distraction to your fiance there. Dont be surprised if a woman say "Since it's Singapore, we have to set aside 2 days just for shopping".

Also, more time will be spent on shopping for relatives if u r in Singapore or Malaysia:)

Great Great guys...yes even i am not much interested in Singapore now. Called a friend who had been there and he said it is just like any city, so no point going there.

Thanks a tonne agupta02 for the detailed reply and detailed PM reply too. I guess there are many people here who have been thru all these places so getting information may not be an issue.
