Budget 51-70k PC more than good enough for most use cases like editing, moderate gaming, programing

You're godsend @OMEGA44-XT . Thanks a lot. This is all is needed for now. I think I'll go with i5 12400f.

Is the previous build you send is good. If I get my hands on higher end i5 or i7 in the future. Is there any change required for power supply.
MSI MAG A650BN 80 Plus Bronze 650W SMPS is enough or overkill for zotac rtx 3060?

Asus Prime H610M-E D4 is good? any other motherboard suggestion.

If you could make a final complete build that fits well I would be very grateful. I'm not interested in rgb's, light and such. Its also ok if its there but can be turned off. system will be in my bedroom.

I have been using both Ausus Prime H 610m_E D D4 DDR 4 and MSI Bomber wifi 760 M DDR 5 with 12400f , both are good, one is running with 5600xt other is running with 6400.
Corsair CX550 is the PSU i am using, guess it would suffice for RTX 3060. There was a deal running on CX550 which i had posted earlier and many folks bought it for 3.5k.
Tyou can also go for CM MWE650 which is good.

Expect no upgrade path on the Intel rig. Cheap Intel mobos have poor quality VRMs not good enough to handle 125W+ CPUs like i7 or i9. I'm personally using an i5 12400 & operating on the same assumption, especially now after 13th & 14th gen fiasco, earlier I could have considered upgrading to used i5 13600K or so on my cheap B660M DS3H as my usage is just gaming, not productivity (so CPU won't run at 100% load). H610M has even worse VRMs.

If you want an upgrade path, get R5 7600 based rig. Your call if the 25% or so extra performance + future upgradability is worth 15-20k extra.

650W is fine for even a CPU like 7950X + 3060 12GB.

Missed out on the zotac offer. Wondering if I should wait :(

Power supply of ATX type will fit into micro ATX case? Is it possible for micro ATX setup with i5 12400 with cooler and all.

1. Intel I5 12400f
2. MSI PRO H610M-E DDR4 Motherboard
3.Crucial p3 plus 1tb

4.G.SKILL Ripjaws V 16GB (2 * 16GB) DDR4 3200 MHz CL16-18-18-38 1.35V Desktop Memory RAM - F4-3200C16S-16GVK

5.MSI MAG A550BN Gaming Power Supply Unit, 80 Plus Bronze Certified Power Supply, 550 Watt, 12V Single-Rail, DC-to-DC Circuit, 120mm Fan, 5-Year Limited Warranty ATX 12v

6. Zotac or gigabyte rtx 3060 12gb

7. Deepcool cpu cooler not available in Amazon

8. Ant Esports Elite 1100 Mid-Tower Computer Case/Gaming Cabinet - Black | Support ATX, M-ATX, ITX | Pre- Installed 3 x 120mm Front and 1 x 120mm Rear Rainbow Fans - prefer microatx but will the power supply for?

Yes, most mATX cabinets* support ATX PSU, there are exceptions. CM 301 that I suggested is smaller than other ATX cases but has enough clearances for the CPU cooler & GPU (say you want a bigger GPU in future). There are smaller mATX options than 301 for sure.

Get SN770 for 1k or so extra, similarly get 650W PSU for future upgrades. For i5 + 3060, 550W will do though. Check offers in FK & amazon.

MD, Vedant, PrimeABGB & PCStudio are trusted places to buy PC parts.

I got a Corsair hx620 w that is not used for almost a decade. Is it possible to check if it is working. Even if it is, will it be be as power efficient as the current ones.

Get something like this

Easiest way to check if your PSU is correctly working, and supplying clean power.

Although, lying idle for 10 years, doesn't sound ideal.

hi @OMEGA44-XT I went with your build. Please do check if it all fits together. This means a lot to me apart from all the help you already given. Thanks a lot, much appreciated :)

seems good might wanna add another identical ramstick in the future tho, which thermal paste r u using btw
also make sure u register for ur 2 additional years warranty on gpu pretty sure theres a time limit thing on that

it comes around 55k after discounts. I'm ordering first time from pc studio for 2 parts. hopefully it will be delivered safe soon.

Thanks @ThatsSe7en will register gpu asap. 2 ram sticks (16gb*2) already ordered.

which thermal paste to go for. artic mx 4?

If you haven't yet ordered the motherboard, then try and get one with some heatsinks on the vrm's. If you've already ordered it, then stick with the stock cooler, or get something low profile which'll blow air on the vrm's and help keep them cool.

can totally relate, mine also almost a decade old but has saved me multiple times whenever i had my doubts on psu not starting particular rails

I can relate.

I have a 15-year-old Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus (460w). It was considered beyond garbage tier even when it was new. In reality, it's only a 312W unit, masquerading as a 460W. Those also had a very high failure rate.

But mine still works! It's saved my bacon as a backup tester PSU on multiple occasions, after being retired from active duty 8 years ago. That little bugger has even survived an 8350 + GTX 580 system!

I don't understand. Already ordered. Is this required. Im not going to overclock.

i have similar situatuon a cm thunder 600 still running a 1090t and gtx 980. this psu was even repaired once for a bad cap, which was replaced with solid state cap, been going strong for nearly 6 years since repair.
