btw the demo i had dloaded was proper. the demo doesnt work on xp x64. it worked fine on the laptop though which has xp x86

FINALLY IT WORKED. on vista x64.
found the game amazing. the speed of the game is more realistic now. more fouls than pes6. pes6 had too little fouls.
omg & i did i mention its looks goddman brilliant. amazing gfx. this will finally put an end now to the speculation that fifa looks better than pes. not that it ever did.
the players, kits, refs & ground all are amazingly well made & the full version will be even better with all the added effects.
the game just about worked on high settings @ 1280 x 720 with a 6800gt on my rig. it lagged in corners & replays. time for a gfx upgrade.

Better online gameplay the lag has been cut down alot. Also the gameplay seems more smooth and dosnt jerk anymore.

Just found a copy of PES 2008 for sale at ebay....the guy is quoting a price of 1799 + 300(shipping).....way out of my budget .....
Apart from this, just stumbled across this site - www.games4india.com.....They had PES 2008 up for sale....mailed the guys...got a reply saying that it would cost 200 including shipping.....he asked me to transfer the money to his A/C number and mail my address....
i am a bit sceptical about buying from games4india, coz i havent done any buying from them.....if any one who has done any transactions with them can give any opinion/feedback about games4india it would be helpful
may probably visit national market tmrw...let me see if they have the game...

If he says it is 200 with shipping, it's 99.99% pirated. Don't buy it.

ok my friend recieved his dvd today that he had ordered from sendit. took around a week for delivery. not that bad. he got charged Rs.400/- for octroi & custom duty.

The through pass system has been tampered with and it suxxxxxxxxxxx.
The sliding tackles are friggin useless!!and for every sliding tackle, the ref issues a yellow card!!!Friggin useless.

and graphics are minorly different from 07 and still i hate what they did to the controls

OK, Here I am with my detailed rant.
I use through passes (60% of my passes are through passes) and Sliding tackles (70%+ of my tackles are sliding tackles i.e I use them like once in 20 seconds,LOL)
Now, Here is the through pass mechanism in PES 6, my through passes from Leftback to Left Midfielder or Rightback to Right Midfielder go in straight lines in PES 6, the way they are meant
BUT, the through pass mechanism in PES 2008 is..
That is..unlike the through passes in PES 6 along the flanks where the ball travels in a straight line, the through pass along the flanks in PES 2008 curves towards the centre and is easily picked up and intercepted by the CPU.
Secondly, during the sliding tackles, even when I get the whole friggin ball with a portion of the opponent's leg, the ref shows me a card!!! WTF!!
I can post a video of the same as proof...We are living in 2007 dammit!!Where Ben Thatcher's concussion causing tacke on Pedro Mendes goes unpunished dammit..and here when I tackle the player AND get the whole friggin ball, am penalised!! WTF!!!
Thirdly, Konami bigots need to learn to pick teams in Master League, they expect me to take my team of Dodo, Castolo and Minanda and play against Besiktas,FC Copenhagen and Helsingborgs in my first season of Master League..are you on dope Seabass??WTF!!!!!!!!!!!
The Graphics are top notch but am friggin disappointed by the game play.
