Yes, the yellow 12V isn't connected to anything. The Pogoplug can supply a large amount of current through its USB ports, so that's why I took 5V from there.
I think, but I'm not sure, that the internal power supply of the Pogoplug is 12V. Mine is powered up and in use so I can't check until the next extended power outage.
I love this thing, they remind me of the internet appliances of the early 2000s (also something I like to tinker with).
