Thank God I am not addicted to AC.

City: Surat

Daily usage, 3-5hrs only at nights March - September.

That too not everyday, if I feel its cool today, i don't turn it on.

Right now its flamingly hot.

It would be helpful if you could add the additional cost incurred in your monthly electric bill due to the air conditioner. That way, one could get an idea of the cost involved in maintaining an a/c.
 
Electricity bills are dependent on state to state unit rate.
In chennai.
Before purchasing A/C : Rs 800 - 1000 for 2 months
Now : 1400 - 1800 for 2 months. Rs 1800 touched only once most of the time its Rs 1500 for average 10 hour usage every day. Average Rs 250 for every month which is cheaper than dish tv at Rs 350 pm
