Its funny how amny people seem to be facing the same problem. Heres a description of what happened to my comp :
I left it on in the night , next morning it had gone off.. When I started it again, I didnt get any display.
I removed the gfx card , RAM.. reattached. Still no display.
Next time I left it on for 2 mins , put in my password .. and heard the windows logon sound. Which meant that my comp was working fine but I had no display.
I tested my LCD with my laptop > that worked, so it was the LCD.
I tested my GFX card at my friends place > that worked.
Connected a friends GFX card > no display.
I connected to my desktop using Remote Desktop Connection from my laptop, to see that the DEVICE MANAGER didnt detect the Display Adapter or my TV tuner card.
Funny thing is, using the comp through REMOTE DESKTOP, it worked perfectly.
Is it even possible that the mobo is still running fine, and JUST its PCIe and PCI slots are spoilt ?
I treied absolutely everything and now am sending the mobo to my dealer as a last resort. He has told me 15 days, I just hope it gets done in that much time.
All the above stories regarding asus service support .. i'm happy I bought it from the dealer.
Im surprised that SO many people seem to face this issue of ASUS's mobo's screwing up.
Next time I buy anything, im going to ask 20 ppl if I should buy ASUS.
