The HDTach scores mean absolutely nothing to me - what matters to me is the real life data transfer speeds and this HDD has given me around 70mb/s which is the best I have seen on my computer...... the file being transferred in the pic below is a single file of 3.5GB .... check the indicated time for copying this file !!

I agree this thread should be stickied

i agree what truly matters is the transfer speed. 70mb is nice for a single drive. max i have managed is 92mb with 160gb x 2 in raid0 array. sata 1 7200.7 drives.
these new drives will surely own in raid 0 array.
