And if it is.....Do u mean Celeron really overclox well...

Isnt OCin Mobo dependent too ?

And wat does BTW mean ?

2.4C means the P4 with 800FSB, 512kB L2 cache.. one of the best OCing series..

BTW = By The Way

and yes, OCing is dependant on both mobo n CPU and a lot of other factors too..

C series is northwood core. And as mask said its 800Mhz FSB HT supporting and S478. Runs nice and cool and overclocks really well. I have 2.6C which will easily overclock to 3.4Ghz. Will probably do more as i used to have Transcend when that was my main machine.
E is prescott. Dosent perform as good as Northwood clock/clock due to its pipeline structure.
Runs very hot.Supports 800mhz fsb and HT.
Comes in both S478 and LGA775.
 
The recent 520 series from Pentium suck completely. A freind of mine just bought one and his temp moves upto even 66-70 degrees.

I was only able to get it to OC max 5 - 10 Mhz.....

Then how cum cum ? Is it my Mobo's fault ? or My RAM ? I had tried OCin from the BIOS using A7N8X-X + 256 Hynix 266Mhz DDr

Rite now the only diff is I have a 512 Mb Kingston 333Mhz DDR.....

Wud it help ? And ne tips for this newbie :ashamed:

So how far does the Barton core go ? Remeber mine is Athlon Xp 2600 + and it can go upto 22 Mhz FSB only.....Athlon XP 2800+ has 400 Mhz FSB....:cool2:

I am sorry but I cannot help you out much there......... All I know is that Bartons are very good oc'ers.

Just wait till tomorrow. Others like Bottle, Funky, Chaos, Darky, DJ, etc..... may be able to help you out.

i have a 2500+ barton. Oces from 1833MHz to 2411MHz into windows.
 
Not all Bartons are good overclockers.
I have seen that 2600+ are not the best of overclockers.
2500+ Barton was in a different league altogether.

But even Barton doesnt come close to 1700/1800 + DLT3C-JIUHB -those were legends,made once in a life time.

I still have one of those in my office machine.
