Read all of Viki's post. Too bad this seems to be a common experience for most people who go to buy stuff from SP Road. Bangalore seriously sucks for buying tech stuff.
Anyways, I had myself been to SP Road today for my i5 rig. Here are the prices I got:
i5 750: 9900 (Golchha), 9850(Ankit)
only Golchha has 2 units available. Every other shop says they dont have any stock and will be available by end of month. IT Gain guy actually wanted me to go for i7 920.
Gigabyte P55 UD2 - 7500(Golchha)
No availability of P55-UD3R and P55A-UD3R.
MSI P55CD53 - 7500(IT Gain), 7500(Ankit)
MSI P55GD65 - 9800(IT Gain), 9500(Ankit)
Biostar T5XE - no availability anywhere
Asus P7P55D - 9600(Golchha), 10250(Ankit)
Gskill DDR3 1333Mhz 2x2GB - 6000(Golchha), 5900(Ankit)
Not sure which models they were referring to as I did not remember the model no of the which I was looking for
CM Hyper 212+ - 1800(Golchha)
Amazingly, the Golchha guy was in good mood today and actually took time to speak to me regarding warranty service and stuff. Nevertheless, he gave a gem of an info today. Apparently, Rashi peripherals no longer handles warranty service for Asus mobos anymore, atleast not in Bangalore. It seems Asus has now started their own unit for handling service called Asus Royal Club and they are located in SP road itself. According to him the lead time for RMA of a newer motherboard nowadays is 24 hrs. MAX!! Anybody who's bought an Asus product in past 4 months might wanna confirm about this. If this is true, then its an amazing news. Asus makes quality products, but only thing keeping me away from them was the horrible reputation of Rashi.
Also, Golccha's getting Lian Li and Lancool cabbies!! I saw him going their website and asked him if he has them. He told me he does and they start from 12K. Anyways, hope to see one up close one of these days
