Spacey, I think this is what you need to get your MKV movies to play directly off the DVD:

multiMAN 02.07.00:

I believe some of you will find these new options VERY useful:

* Added: LV2 access rights to use LV1 Storage Manager (syscall 864)

* Added: LV1 patch for user access to sys_storage functions (syscalls 600 to 623)

* The above two for regular users mean:

* Thanks to graf_chokolo and the SACD-Ripper guys!

* -> Access to all types of optical discs inside multiMAN (file/folder mode):

* -> Copy/Backup of Blu-ray Movie Discs (decryption may be required on PC) (previously possible only via OtherOS)

* -> Copy/Backup of DVD-Video discs (decryption may be required on PC)

* -> Copy/Backup of Playstation(R)2 Discs

* -> Access to AACS\MKB_RO.inf on a Blu-ray movie disc to restore lost DRL1/DRL2

* -> Direct playback of movies/music (avi, mkv, etc) from BD-R/BD-RE/DVD-R/DVD-RW via Showtime for multiMAN

That's about it. In short it means that you can now access and copy files/folders from any optical disc (be it to rip a blu-ray movie or transfer a backup of PS3 game from DVD or BDR to your ps3, watch videos in Showtime, etc)

Not for now bro i would say get some Pre Owned games at a lesser price and play them till the time the CFW for 3.70 is released. All i can say is WAIT. Because no hacker has the balls to release it.

Now i wont be lazy to play the content of the well preserved DVDs of mine. :D

PS2 Games can now be backed up on ps3..! Another step towards backward compatibility

Btw.. would i be asking too much if these geeks can unlock and allow us to play psp games on ps3 as well..?? :devil2:

MultiMAN 02.07.00

-The PS2 disc will show in the "RETRO" column with dark-blue icon saying PLAYSTATION2. There you press "TRIANGLE" -> "Copy"

-It will copy the disc to your GAMES in a folder named like 20110918-1626-[PS2 DISC].

-Currently it will create a FOLDER copy (not ISO).

Generally the idea is to copy Blu-ray discs (if you don't have a BD-ROM drive in your PC) or to play video files from dvd/bdr discs or to keep backup copies of your games on BD-R/DVD discs and later transfer them to your PS3.

Hi guys, I bought a PS3 320GB (move) from letsbuy.com which was delivered yesterday. Luckily it was with fw 3.50.

To jailbreak it, I installed OFW 3.55. After that I installed CFW 3.55 kmeaw successfully.

Now, I understand that I need to install:

1. multiMAN
2. BDEMU-355KM.pkg

I downloaded the following files:

1. multiMAN_ver_2.00.00_FULL__20110507_200000_.rar
2. BDEMU-355KM.pkg

Now inside the first file there are many files:

1. BDROM-Reset.pkg
2. changelog.txt
3. multiMAN [Last Game].rar
4. multiMAN ver 2.00.00 FULL (20110507_200000) WT.pkg
5. multiMAN ver 2.00.00 FULL (20110507_200000).pkg
6. multiMAN_[EBOOT_FIX].rar
7. navigation.txt
8. options_default.ini
9. ps3serv_GUI.rar
10. USB.CFG

Please suggest me what all files should I copy to USB pen drive and install in PS3. Also, what else do I need to install ?

2.07.00 AND THEN DOWNLOAD THE UPDATE 2.07.03 .. it has included showtime but i would suggest go for this to play all your needed media basically a VLC player for your PS3. 1. .PKG file inside "multiMAN ver 02.07.01 FULL (20110918-220000).rar"

2. multiMAN ver 02.07.03 UPDATE (20110920-185400).pkg

3. showtime-3.2.pkg

4. BDEMU-355KM.pkg.

Right ?

Yes ! First the PKG of the Full version multiman then update .. then BDEMU then showtime or whatever other hombrew you want. Like i am using NES emulator for playing Mario :D

Once its done you can load up and play games :D

It's basically a combination of supporting utilities for MM. Most of them aren't needed, so just install the back-up manager and the BDEMU package file and you should be good to go, as far as booting the games are concerned.

It would be rather nice if TE turns up when someone else uses google for these things. So we should avoid sending everyone to Google.

Eh? All he is asking is if the game can be played on CFW 3.55. He might have a physical disc of the game and might be willing to keep a backup which is perfectly alright going by the rules.

Do you feel otherwise? :P
