PS3 Jailbreak - Discussion Thread

it isn't like everybody except arsenal_fan is playing legit ps3 games, they may deny it but i'm sure it's true.. and nothing wrong with it.. as long as the rules are followed and links aren't posted

i think, this whole thread comes in a grey area instead of being purely unpirated, that's just my opinion. no offense

also, we are always talking about downloading, and chatting about that movie we downloaded or that episode from the internet (for free ofc) in the general chat section, what's that then..?

Precisely. And all the OP asked was if the backup could be working with CFW 3.55. He did not ask if a later firmware supported it.

there are a no. of members who are saying that demon_hades and crewe has always been delaying things and at the same time, they have been increasing expectations..

in fact some of the sites have decided to not include their news on their front page, so i'm still somewhat unoptimistic about what they can and will be able to deliver, though i hope they are saying the truth and not just generating traffic to their site..

they need to prove themselves!!

if you honestly want to follow the rules then half the threads would be canceled..as hackboy89 said its comes under a gray area.

im not posting links .. im not promoting piracy.. im not even suggesting it.. all i did was ask if fifa 12 or gow origins would work on a 3.55 cfw.. how is that not following the rules??

read the rules before asking other people to google stuff ..
 
@Dinjo Bro you just could have said NO it wont work thats it end of topic man. And this whole thread should be locked if it was promoting piracy because it isn't. Even Gannu used to use CFW so ?? It really isnt a big deal. Look at some threads even MODS have posted how to jailbreak.
 
i'd just like to add this to the thread..

"there are numerous sites/forums who report each and every thing related to the scene.. jailbreaks, cfw, mfw, soldering, dual-boots, nand/nor flasher, all are posted there except the links and then they call themselves legit and are ready to ban anyone who posts download links.. but maybe they are right, as doing anything on the thing you bought should be completely under your jurisdiction and not under some US court"

in fact, the day a console is hacked, its sales get a boost, Sony should allow the cfws and give user the option to dual-boot but completely ban those with jailbroken consoles from online play and at the same time, allow them psn when they are using an original/legit disc without any cheat or hack.. this will make us all happy and will take out the rebellion out of people's mind..

i mean, taking otherOS was pretty harsh on us, it's another thing that less than 10% of the ps3 owners have been reported to using it. but still, they can't take anything back which they had promised when we bought the consoles.. can they..

PS: sometimes, i'm under the effect of alcohol, and post whatever i'd like to, related to the post, though it may not makes sense to the current discussion but still i ahd an urge to do this.. pun intended!!

I gave it back to the shop..
now planning to get a new one ..I have two doubts
1.is it possible to get a new ps3 with 3.4 firmware ?
2.can we play all types of new games using 3.4 firmware ?

I have a third doubt - why are you hellbent on getting a console with a 3.40 firmware?

There are plenty of consoles with the 3.50 firmware to be found on the retail stores, albeit the lesser popular ones.
