PS3 scene is dead now. Hackers are just too afraid:(. Can't believe this after the boom we saw in the scene around 5 months ago:(

M just happy to play region free BD's on my PS3 ATM and enjoy some cross platform games

What?Great Progress has been made this month both on hacking front with devices like true blue and also many new games playable on cfw like battlefield,un3

Those are all tiny compared to a CFW release.. Remember when 3.55 CFW was released and the kind of news we used to get each week?
True blue ....i would rather buy original games than going thru the headache of buyig a blu ray disc, burner, download games and then get a write error:(

we want CFW and the last one came out more than 200 days ago....its known that ppl have cracked the keys but they are scared to publish it...
OH BTW: Uncharted and BF3 were playable last month itself, ame goes for true blue:bleh:so technically speaking nothing new this month :P

Its not a mathematical equation which ll follow a set pattern. Things are bound to fluctuate.

Not all games...read below; it boots only those games on HDD which are anyways playable on 3.55CFW

Source:PS3 JB2 Dongle Called True Blue, Official Features Now Confirmed - Page 1 - PS3 NEWS - PlayStation 3 News - PS3 Hacks - PS3 CFW

Booting of games from v3.6+ (up to v3.73) from special BD-R discs available from official resellers

Runs games up to v3.56 from HDD in conjunction with backup managers

I think we can write games in generic BDR's now

True Blue can boot games through HDD as well.

Hi frens,

Is it safe to buy 320gb PS3 move bundle with import date of APRIL 2011. i don't want to risk myself in ending up with FW higher than 3.55 :)

Please let me know, i need to buy it this weekend.....

Regards,

Prem

MultiMAN updated v02.09.00:

Improved performance in XMMB display mode

Backup from PS3 game discs now works as it should

You can still launch PSX games from XMMB Game Column

You can still launch PS3 game backups from DVD-R/RW / BD-R/RE

You cannot create ISO backups or access non-genuine PS3 game discs (unless Direct Disc Access is enabled)

You will see an animated icon in XMMB Game column, which you can use to launch your PSX backups.

To keep the same functionality as before you can turn on "Direct Disc Access" from XMMB Settings column.

Press [TRIANGLE] -> Enable Direct Disc Access

When in Direct Disc Access mode you can rip BD movie discs, launch games, but you can't create backups of PS3 Game Discs.

Do not use "Direct Disc Access Mode" unless you really need it.

Can I play a demo using this method?

I JBed it as stated; I have a downloaded a demo NFS pro street, now it is installed (in "game" folder), when I launch it; I get the black screen as mentioned in the post; but the said software is already installed. Any pointers?

Can you let me know how you actually installed it? Was it a PKG file?

Yeah, I installed it from the home menu (XM something :)), . After I JBed it and install all software as said in OP.

Now as I checked this goes to folder "game" though it should be at "Games"; now I tried to some how copy the installation folder from inside "games" to GAME but could not find a option "copy" in File Manager (still understanding it).

Demos don't don't need to be installed manually into folders. You just need to install the PKG file and the game icon should appear in the 'Games' list. Did you install the BDEMU.PKG file as well?

>>Demos don't don't need to be installed manually into folders.

Argh, than it means I am doing things correctly. I can see the icon in game list but as I said; when execute it; all black.

>>Did you install the BDEMU.PKG file as well?

Yep, downloaded from the link as given in first post and installed.(I'll try re-installing it.)

has anybody purchased JB2/TB dongle? Seems with this dongle every game is playable...

I think pretty soon it'll be made available as a downloadable CFW, so keeping my money in my pocket and hoping for the best.
