PS3 Jailbreak - Discussion Thread

Do these guys take down the links after some time? I've come across many dead MU links before which were mere eboot files.
 
If they are reported, then YES. Some sites also allow limited storage period for free users and hence it gets auto-deleted once the time has lapsed.

This is my first post on techenclave and i am really sorry for being a complete noob. :( .. I read the instructions on page 1 and sm pages more but i dont have time to read through all the pages of this thread so i would be really thankful if someone could answer my doubts :
1. We have to use normal pendrive for the procedure ??
2. can i play the latest games like uncharted 3 if i will hack my ps3 according to those instructions ?
3. is there any way that i can reset my device and be on OFw again after hacking ?

ROTFL! Such an atrocious pricing for a device which has no certain future. It's almost similar to the 3.41 JB situation where bigger companies started to package the dongle in a fancy-ass way and shoot up the prices. Then came the clones, cost less then half and performed the same way. :P
 
TB has been priced insanely. More like they are sure somebody will release a cfw in near future so rake in as much moolah as possible.

I am just waiting to see if these TB dongle's funda is possible with the old dongle.

Then i ll revive my older dongle with the new Hex :devil: (this prolly wont be possible.. but what the heck.. might as well be optimistic)
 
These indonesians devs are pretty smart ass man. Its kinda not possible till now to clone them. They have generated enough revenue by selling those dongles to dumb americans. I was like woah? 4.5K for a dongle? I think it will a month till we get new CHEAP dongles or a CFW for the TB. Moreover DO NOT order from Lighttake people its taking around 40-50 days for the package to reach in Free Shipping.

^^ Space , You still use your old dongle? :O Or you just kept it as your collection ? :D

2. can i play the latest games like uncharted 3 if i will hack my ps3 according to those instructions ? Well not all latest games really but yes Uncharted 3 you can

3. is there any way that i can reset my device and be on OFw again after hacking ? Yes it can be turned back to OFW 3.55

And Im one of them :ashamed: Didnt shift to CFW as I liked the fact that I could go back to official by removing the dongle. Now I want to shift to CFW but will my backups stop working? Losing save games isnt a problem, I just want the games to work as I dont have any space to back up the backups..
 
^^ There are different Eboots for 3.55 and 3.41 games. You can get all the fixes for 3.55 games. I will PM you the site. In that site you will get everything you want to run your games discless with kmeaw on you 3.55 CFW PS3!

guys i ordered my ps3 from ebay for 15.3k ( 320 gb ) but the seller says that the manufacturing is aug, 2011 :(:(.
is there any chance that it will be on 3.55 or i am doomed ?? :S
 
cant ay that..i have september 2011 sku with 3.55 :)

but its 160gb, i know a few guyz too who have 320gb with 3.50 with august 2011!

So AFAIK your Ps3 has 75% chance of being 3.60 but there is a good 25% chance of getting 3.50 too! as loads AUG-SEPT sku's have 3.50 or 3.55!
