PS3 price drops

OMG PS3 320GB Move pack for 16.5k shipped. This is EPIC :D

And when I posted in that thread on someone selling a PS3 160GB for 15k...ppl were not quite forgiving :p

Probably because the price cut announcements happened a bit later? :p

On a side note I think I might get myself a new slim later next month and be prepared for Uncharted 3. Will sell the older 80GB console probably by the year end.
 
It is a really good deal I am finding Taggle to be a pretty good site I had ordered a low end phone through them lets see how the packaging and delivery times look like.
 
^^ yep do that .my ps3 80 gig gave me a life of 2 years only and that seems the normal theme with 80 gig models.

Sell it locally and add some moolah,buy only from croma and get their extra warranty.you will be set for 3 years

Yes, price drop is not a welcome news to those who want to sell off their consoles. But who said life is fair. :)
 
I am planning on buying one in India since my other one is in US. So what is the recommended price for a used slim 160 gb model since we are seeing a price drop in India?
 
Man, I purchased my PS3 move bundle 4 months back for 24.5K (bought it separately for the sake of <3.60), I hope the ones being sold now are >3.55, wicked me:tongue:
 
yup same here...I am sure the new ones are 3.56 and above:)

and if hacks don't dome out for higher FW's then 3.55 would command premium resell rates

You cannot play the upcoming exclusives - Resistance 3 and Uncharted 3 unless you update your firmware. :bleh:

At least until today that's the case. :p

I'll be completing my backlogs on the present console and moving to the new one w00t!
 
So is this the best time to buy it for PS3 xclusives? Or should I wait and watch for 1-2 week.

(Does it support d-sub monitor; sorry no HDMI yet :p). How does it fair on Full HD res (planning to buy a TV soon, hence the question)

I do not need move as I'll be buying 360 + kinect in future, (god, less than 15 is too lucrative).
 
There is a downgrade which can probably be performed from 3.70 to a lower firmware released by Progskeet. I haven't checked much about it, but there was a guide posted on how we can switch between 3.55 CFW and OFW 3.70 using 2 HDD's.

But one thing's guaranteed, if the newer SKU's will definitely have a higher firmware than 3.55.

The deal from Letsbuy will be the best option ATM. They may remove the discounted option soon.

As for D-Sub, the display will be supported via an adapter IINM.
 
Pre-requisite for that is you would have modified the circuit of the PS3 with the other hack to downgrade from 3.66-->3.55.

The method is quite complex and time consuming and requires skilled hands. Nothing like the CFW scene:(
