How much will you buy a 7 Months Used PL30 be genuine tell me i will give OP that much + Mods will have to delete this thread

He bought something which is gone kaput within 1 year warranty- bad luck. You have the stocks (i assume you really don't have the stocks or you are not really interested to give one of the new stuff that is meant for retail because you're not earning anything out of it and SoundMagic stopped entertaining RMA requests)- bad luck. The least one can do is give a decent enough credit note- atleast not on the basis of "rental depreciation calculation" or whatever fancy words one wants to throw. Why? Because its simple. He bought a product with a proper bill and with the warranty of 1 year. He owns the product and and if the product goes bad within the warranty period, the best or the second best needs to be presented.

Either that or SoundMagic cares a damn about the buyers in India and they left you empty handed in that department so the best you can do is give a credit note of Rs. 400?? Because if you were an authorised dealer, you shouldn't really be having this problem of replacing it with a new unit eventually. Technically even if have 3 weeks warranty left in a product, I am still obliged to get a replacement or a decent credit note.
 
ohh god, such a long thread, this makes me wary of buying ANY soundmagic Products, yes the attitude hurts as well, and rahul just needs a break, don't go back to square one, you have to bear the cost of a new PL-30,irrespective of the warranty OP would be getting, say it's his Luck, but yes, a definate replacement should be made (i.e you buying from another dealer at lammy) , i can assure you <computer gallery> has it, but he'll charge 1000/- for sure (if prime doesnt have it),

Rahul , it's not about you being right acc to you, at the moment, it's about being fair to the consumer, that's all. No one has fun bashing innocent dealer, we agree you aren't doing purposely, but just give it a thought when you are calm enough to think, you have learned your lesson about not selling Soundmagic products, DONE. just free the OP from his Situation as well.
 
Yes i need a break have been doing this since the thread started and nothing else i think will just have to leave this if u guys don't agree to what i have to offer

Stop asking me to bear the cost of a new PL-30 that is not fair to me, i am being fair i am ready to give him what he owes me and tats not a new PL30 with 12 Months Warranty its a PL30 with 5 Months warranty left.

You guys don't want to come out of the circle mate even after reading 2 similar incidences posted by your fellow TE Members where the customer was offered the Depreciated Actual Current Value of a Used product what can i do

ITWares - Why did you not just use that Rs400 you offered mjeri and send the product to SoundMagic? Would have been a simple solution for everyone.
 
Coz that will be of no use as i won't get a replacement as according to them the warranty starts from the day they sold the product to me not from the day i sold the product to my customer tatzy i stopped buying soundmagic from the Manufacturer

Had bought some 700 nos from them how can i sell it in 1 day so now just taking some loss and giving refund to customers who get RMA

Since you are saying the product is worth 400 now..

why don't you purchase a used pl30 from TE market place for that much and give it to the member?

member gets replacement.

you keep your condition.

In that case you shouldn't have advertised "1 year warranty" in the first place. The customer shouldn't pay coz of you not being familiar with Soundmagic's warranty
 
Who knew i would be in such a spot and stop buying SM from the manufacturer coz of this warranty issue with them yes i have learn't a lesson no more Chinese brands for me :)

^ Stop saying its the actual value of the product . Even saying it 100 times wont change the truth .Why don't you understand that your customer does NOT want to sell his product at its depreciated value .In a way , YOU are forcing him to sell his product for 400 to you ! He had bought it for 900 , since its in warranty IF you would have replaced it -It would surely not be worth 400 even if he sold it ! It would fetch him atleast 600Rs. with 5 months remaining warranty .

If you think you are being fair by offering him an amount of Rs.400 , read the above again and think again peacefully .Atleast for once try to be in the situation as the OP. If you do understand , a CN of a more sensible value mutually agreed upon by both you and OP would be the proper solution to this.

If nothing else why don't you atleast give him a PL-21 as a replacement ? Its cheaper and inferior than the PL-30 . Wouldn't that be fair ?
 
Your actual value is part where you are stuck as kid.

If he has warranty of one year.you have to honour it by giving him his due and shut up with you and your relation with sound magic.

Offer him what he deserves thy is new sound magic headset of equal value he paid for his set and close this chapter.

Mods please close this thread.its useless waste of all of our time.

Its perfect legal material for consumer protection case.

The actual value of his product is 900. BECAUSE the company is liable to replace his product.



And if you didnt know you would be in such a spot, its your problem. Stop being such a loser.

What I am saying maybe false according to u but then when other service centers are having the same policy which I also think is correct ..:.. so they are right and I am wrong coz I am a dealer on TE and prime and Altec service center is not right.

Finally, OP getting decent value.. Please don't make this thread any longer since it doesn't make any sense. Did anyone of you ever got warranty for Chinese brands ? I am sure , most of you haven't.

Plus, Rahul please update your website about No warranty coverage on Chinese brands (Soundmagic.. chinese ?) , this would be helpful.

I believe if my Sapphire Card needs RMA, i will get full replacement for it without CN. since its a known brand and there are authorised service centers to replace it. I remember someone bought GPU from US and got replaced with a higher value card by adding only 2k to it.
