District 9 - 8/10

Awesome movie

They should have shown at the end that the alien comes back and fixes the main guy (make him human again)

The best movie I have seen made around Underworld Crime Syndicates..and this one does its best to stick to the facts without singing and dancing. I never thought Bolly would output a movie that would put its Hollywood matches to shame...I found this movie better than Munich, Traitor, Body Of Lies. Anurag Kashyap is the best thing to have happened to Bolly recently, he's taking it to the next level, I don't know though if the Indian audience is ready for him yet but he needs to keep his work up. Danny Boyle says he was inspired to do Slumdog Millionaire after watching this movie. It sucks how the Bollywood Censor board gives him a hard time though but instead of softening down into doing stereotype Bolly stuff, he should move on to Hollywood, where he'll get some real fame he deserves.
yup he certainly is very talented. as you said, india isn't really ready for his movies. every movie if his has a very different theme than normal crap we see in bollywood.

No Smoking is an example. I thought it was a really good movie.
Many people also did not like Dev D at all.

Just came from a 'Aage Se Right' ka show :D

Movie is pretty good than I expected. I must say UTV Spot boy productions has produced good movies so far. Aamir, Wednesday and now this (although entirely different genre)

Correction, it's the best Indian movie ever made, PERIOD. Heck it knocked off Satya from my list, which was previously my top film. Anurag Kashyap has presented this movie in such an amazing way that it's really hard to say it's a movie, feels more like a documentary. Everything in the movie is dot accurate & realistically portrayed. This is the kind of movie that our Indian Cinema needs.

Finished watching the all time classic "The Great Escape". Should have been called "The Great Movie". Its simply awesome. Don't wanna rate it. ;)

Final Destination [3D] - 7.5/10

Watch it in 3D if you must... otherwise it's pretty general, regular Final Destination affair... same old plot, new ways of deaths and more gore yada yada yada.

But watching it in 3D and in big screen theater with multi-channel sound makes a whole lot of difference.... trust me, for a movie with so been-there-done-that generic plot, it made a huge difference. The experience is totally enjoyable and IT WILL make jump in your seats.

Watch it on DVD or downloaded video and you'll be like, "well whatever, it's the same old wine in new bottle". My rating of 7.5 stands only for 3D viewing.

Word... +1

I normally don't enjoy movies older than 1985, but this was a solid exception..

Mr. Iron Palm: Korean romantic triangle that was surprisingly hilarious, mainly coz it takes things more head on than typical of the awful genre.

6/10

Flags of our fathers - 8/10.

Worth a watch. Directed by Clint Eastwood. :P

Going to watch the Jap side of the story - Letters from Iwo Jima tomorrow. :D
