So guys i want to watch one of these sick movie...just to check how 'sick' they can be...
which one should i pick first(just so that if i find them to be really too digusting, sick, sadistic and all other adjectives i find in the imdb and wiki pages about these movies, i may skip the rest) among these...
1. Salo
2. Cannibal Holocaust
3. August Mordem Underground,
4. Serbian Film
5. Human centipede

I did not find 'Human Centipede' not very sick at all. The core idea is sick and vomit inducing, but all through the film, I did not feel disturbed at all.

Cannibal Holocaust is sick.

The rest are in my watchlist, but won't be seeing them for another 3-4 months as I have plenty else to finish up first. I might finish up the '10 sickest' list + 'serbian film' then.

Sadists do exist, but they need not be showing their true colors 24x7. Just because we don't meet them or know about their every activity don't wipe their existence off the map ;). Zombies on the other hand don't exist.

May be you should start with 'Martyrs', 'Inside' and see if you are ok to move on to 'Cannibal Holocaust' and 'Serbian Movie'. I consider these two somewhat of a bridge between mass audience torture porn like 'Saw' and sick films like 'Cannibal..'. Both are French films, well made, well shot and I prefer them more than normal films like 'Haute Tension' or 'I Spit on your grave'.

Oh! there's a thread on abi on the same topic - What is the scariest or creepiest movie ever? - Movies & Television - abi>>forums

starting with i spit on ur grave new one...

coz others a hard to find a good rip...will need some patience to pick up a good rip...lots of rmvb out there...

Good Will Humping is a better option and u'll enjoy it more :P..

Kidding.. its a nice movie.. (the hunting.. not humping) :P
Everytime I see your post, I feel like somethings poking through my pants.

Sucker Punch - 8.5/10

Awesome movie. Beyond what appears to be mindless action/fantasy sequences, there is a story so deep that makes me go Wow...! And I cannot help but draw a few similarities with Inception. :P

I want to see a very good romantic movie, should be realistic, captivating and offbeat. Any suggestions?

Some Movies on my mind: 2046, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Lost in translation

BTW has anyone here seen Magnolia? How is it?

I'm not usually a romantic film watcher. But here are a few I've watched and liked in varying degrees. I don't know if you'll find them satisfying your criteria, but they are at least different.

  1. (500) Days of Summer (2009)
  2. Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans (1927) - Yes a Silent movie :P
  3. My Sassy Girl (2001)
  4. In the Mood for love (2000)
  5. Before Sunrise (1995)
  6. The Notebook (2004)

^I've watched 1 and 5, In the mood for love is something I have had for a long time but haven't watched. Will watch it and 2046 very soon.

I don't think I'll like 3 and 6 which leaves 2 well which is ancient. BTW you didnt mention Eternal Sunshine of a spotless mind, also Before Sunset. Both excellent movies.

And yes I also don't like the usual romantic movies, but certain movies in this genre are good and I'm looking for more.

I've not watched 'Before Sunset'. 'Eternal..' escaped my mind.

Ancient it may be, but "Sunrise" it's one of my favorite silent movies directed by F. W. Murnau. I liked it, but I don't know whether you too can ease into watching older movies like me.

While not strictly a 'romantic' movie, I recently watched "Amores Perros" (2000). Three different stories interwoven by an accident, dog(s), various forms of love and complexity of relationships. It's a bit long (154 mins), but is one of the best I've seen this year.

On recommendation of GGK here, I watched Kim Ki-duk's "Bad Guy". It's not 'romantic' in the traditional sense, but different.

I'm going to watch "3-iron" and "Chungking Express" sometime soon. I think I need to add "2046" as well there.

I wasn't exactly looking for strictly romantic movies, but wouldn't mind a strictly romantic movie either till its good.

I reckoned you did not watch Eternal and Before Sunset that is why I included it in my post so that you may watch these movies. Since you have watched Eternal Sunshine, watch Before Sunset (Specially since you seemed to have liked Before sunrise, Before sunset is a sequel to it)

Amores Perros looks interesting, will see if I can watch it. Thanks for the suggestion

Chungking Express, In the mood for love and 2046 these three I've had for a long time, I was just confused over whether I should first watch "In the mood for love" and then "2046" or vice versa. I've been delaying watching these three movies for a long time.

^ I'm always open to movie recommendations :).

If you don't mind Meg Ryan and chatty movies, "When Harry met Sally" is a bit different from the usual romcoms (at least from what I remember of it). I don't mind watching romcoms, but don't like them too much either.

Among the movies you were not sure about, "My Sassy Girl" has already been copied by Bollywood. But, I think you should give it a chance ;)

I cant stand 99% of the Romcoms, or rather all of them. The same predictable cliched story in each of them.

Also if you can, watch "Mr. nobody", isn't strictly romantic but one of the best movies I've ever seen in my life. (141 minutes)
