Expendables 2 - 8.5/10

Cliched and predictable dialogues, predictable and non-existent storyline, ageing actors.... but watching all the action legends on the screen in a single frame - PRICELESS!! And for people who don't agree - let's just say that I grew up watching them and as a small kid, these were my biggest heroes (and for most of people of my generation). For every actor's entry, the whole hall burst into applause. Simply amazing! Even amazing was that almost everyone understood each and every hint to the old famous dialogues.. read in Schwarzenegger's voice "I'm back!" :D

How is Van D's role..?

Understandably, everyone's got a small role since the cast is so huge. Van Damme looks as deadly as always (martial arts with the superb body, bulging biceps etc :D) except for the fact that his face looks so old and weathered. There are big bulges under his eyes too; he's wearing shades in almost all of his scenes. That was sad to see. :(

Van Damme was in a position to take over as the next Hollywood action hero but he pissed his life away. After his surprising hit Bloodsport, which was a hit only because of him, he could have made it into an A-list Hollywood action star. Sly and Arnold were old and were looking at a mix of roles rather than the traditional action roles. But Van Damme had marriage troubles along with a cocaine addiction. This took away at least 5-6 years of his life which according to me were the prime ones.

Anyways, loved him in the movie. His 360 degree round kick still makes me go "WoW!". He is interested in making a Double Impact sequel. Let's see if anything materialises. Fingers crossed.

Expendables 2 was a treat to watch in the theatre. Much better than the first installment IMO.
The movie was all action with great comic moments in between. Arnie and Bruce were hilarious. Must watch.

His final fight scene in Bloodsport pretty much owned the movie. God knows how many times I have played that in a constant loop. Then there's his training montage. The funny thing is, I often used to get confused between Kickboxer and Bloodsport, in my teenage days. They both had a very close theme, but both were fantastic. These 2 movies would have never been complete if it wasn't for Paul Hertzog's fabulous OST. Good times!

Think a mashup of Terminator, Rambo, Transporter, Kiss of the Dragon, Universal Soldier and Bloodsport with subtle elements of Walker, Texas Ranger and Die Hard. Throw in some cliched dialogues with a predictable storyline, kick-ass action sequences, some old cheesy one-liners, plus a bunch of useless soundtracks, and you have The Expendables 2. It felt really good to watch all the yesteryear action heroes in one screen after a long time, reunited. Worth a watch if you loved those action flicks in the past. And definitely enjoyable if watched with a bunch of friends.

Van Damme's roundhouse kick with the knife - c'est la classe! :D

Rated 8/10.

Typing this post late at night to save you all

Snow White and the Huntsman - 1/10

Oh what a dumb movie even by fairy tale standards.

1 is for Charlize Theron...hmm... she is good..I mean acting..
[h=3][/h]There were two invisible characters for me in the movie. I could not help but my mind keeps lingering to these two people while watching the actress
1) Robert Pattinson and 2) director[FONT=arial, sans-serif] Rupert Sanders. More than half of the movie the camera was focusing on Kristen Stewart and ooh god what an awful actor she is.
