which headphones? Sennheiser Pc161/Audio Technica AD700/ or something else
hey Lord Nemesis, Audio Technica AD700 doesnt have microphone, dont you need microphone while gaming at times?
Cabinet?? pls suggest something guys, I dont like Haf 932. i like this lian li one.
N shops or people who can get all this for me in Delhi/Mumbai? (Delhi preferred, in mumbai i will have to face my dad`s endless QnA session, lol)

Good to see that you made your mind at last. But ATI 5850,5870,5870X2 will be launched in the second week of September. I assume that you can wait until then. At least for the graphics card. A 5870X2 should be priced near GTX295 and will kick its A**.
Also a 5870X2 series card will enough for any games for a few years as it supports DX11. Games based on DX11 will be coming in 2010.
Off topic, you seem to be very determined to prove something. May all the gfs learn this from you.

What else will i have to change, if i decide to wait for it. N if i wait for that, then i will be tempted to wait for new Intel processors, as someone mentioned earlier? N then someone else might be able to break a quarks? but I dont want my PC to be ass kicked in few weeks.
The point that i want to prove is that, building a PC isnt rocket science, for that you dont have understand Einstein's theory of relativity. So stop wasting hours on reading buying fixing computer.

1)Buy the rest of the setup, don't wait for newer processors etc.
2)For now, get a HD 4890(It would REALLY help to know what GPU is currently in use) and set aside the surplus budget to buy the 5870/x2. The 4890 will more than suffice for now.
What display is he using right now?
Cannot stress enough how much knowing his current setup would help, speaking from purely a performance perspective...

EDIT:- If 1. building the machine is not necessary for now and you can wait upto December-January and/or 2. He has an enough good computer for now, then wait. Otherwise, buy everything except the graphics card. As its not necessary now and new cards are almost at the door, you should at least wait for two more weeks to observe the graphic market.
There are two shops in Delhi I know, SMC International and Cost to cost. But Mumbai has better options, so see if you can manage your parents.

i would suggest you to wait till october this year as Nvidia will be launching their 300 series Graphic Cards which will be around 30% much faster than the current most powerful 200 series cards.

5870 x2 if its released by next week wil be avilabe in US and few other countries. So its not likely u can get 5870 x2 by 26th of this month even if its imported by DHL express shipping.
Nvidia 3XXX series are scheduled to be released in November 09 - january 2010
