PC Peripherals Regarding CM 500W Extreme power plus....

The OP has 500W not 600W..and I have been referring to the same 500W only

And BTW I was never in favour of these PSUs

And CM EPP 460W does not deliver its labeled power.

and second thing i li'l bit confused bout is when we play games on our pc does the system goes on full load ie. peak 100%....or it varies throughout the game while we are playing......
what are the parts that go under full load...like mobo ,proccy, gfx,ram and hdd...... or some parts go under full load and not all....?

does it count the total load on 12v rails??? or just the power supplied to the gpu??

Yeah , firstly i use the RS-500-pcar-a3 with my current rig and secondly i wont use this psu if i had a HD5770.

A system hardly reaches 100% load while playing games .

It was right that i ran a 4870 for 2.5 months with this PSU and everything ran fine but you know how people say that it was a slow death to the GPU and either the PSU or the gpu may blow up in time and all that stuff , but neither happened but i didnt want to risk a 4870 so it was changed to a 4770 and hd4870 went to another system with a tagan 500w psu .

Anything upto a 9800gt , i can assure you that this psu will take it since i ran some hell lot of stuffs when i had an evga 9800gt .

I dont know power consumptions of 5770 compared to a 9800gt but again wont you like some peace of mind if you put 1k more and buy some other PSU .

Ok best of luck deciding , i want to watch germany beat uruguay now .

Thankx buddy for the reply...and regarding the hd5770 power comsumption it is on load it is less than 9800gt...coz nvidia tends to consume more power than their ati counterparts...
