As posted by @abhi1984 the band might be the issue. Lyf might be having 2300mhz by default whereas iphone might be trying the lower bands.

Try installing some app, I know something called LTE Discovery on android which can provide this info.

Btw, by recharge I guess you mean the 25GB one? Or something else.

Aside, the whole Jio activation process seems f**ked up. The only hope is Jio and its employees learn from this.
 
I got my connection activated this evening. I didn't recharge. It was all being done by digital express guys. Getting speed between 10 & 30 Mbps.
 
Can anyone confirm if they can make calls from their iphones with Jio sim?? I get data just fine on my other phones, but cant make calls at all, from any of the phones. Calls only working on the lyf handset. Tried using Jio Join app on another android, still cant make calls.
 
^it was supposed to work from iphone 6 and newer version... I've 6s plus and it was working fine. Of course now I use jio only for data, so using it with airtel 4g dongle(wifi by Huawei).
