I generated code using imported Note 4 and got sim, but unlimited preview activated using x play. They took around 4 to 5 days for sim activation and during that time i had only moto x play and 6s plus. Used x play for 1977 and then followed old apk trick to activate unlimited preview which is now valid till November 15th.

BTW what's the trick you used to activate it in Moto X ?

Looks like they are not sending OTP for creating jio id unless the SIM is in the preview offer phone. So you have no way to create jio id and activate the unlimited offer whatever apk you use.

No they are not generating code. But by using 3.2.05 apk of MyJio atleast they are able to create code. Than go to Reliance Digital with friends or colleagues selected phones which has unlimited offer and get a sim.

Wait for sim televerification message and insert sim in the selected which was showed in reliance digital gallery to get sim. Verify it. Use 2G and get preview unlimited offer activated.

Remove sim from your friends or colleagues phones and use it on any phone you want. Works on all phone.

I'm familiar with rooting and custom rom and kerenels but the problem is currently their isn't any rooting method or custom recovery available for this device. Xda is of no help since LYF devices are only india specific.

I know that, But the main problem now is u can get the promo code but you cannot activate it on any other phone.

If you can activate it using the phone which is under the promo then why you need the code from a non promo phone read MI/Moto and others.

Also one can activate the promo only one time using a Samsung phone you can not use the same phone to activate the unlimited data on the second sim.[DOUBLEPOST=1472396725][/DOUBLEPOST]UPDATE- The Jio website trick is working again, Just register using the OTP, Done.

My samsung preview number has only data activated, no incoming/outgoing calls/sms working on that number. Calling from another phone says the number is out of coverage or switched off. So I am not able to receive any OTP. So I don't think I will be able to activate unlimited offer even in the samsung phone without OTP.

The phone u using the simcard in does not supports VoLTE use jiojoin app for a calls and messages.
