Reliance Jio Rollout

Mind sharing the screen shot of the first page of my jio app.
What? You have trust issues now :D
Anyways here you go.

This is what appears when the app opens. But this banner stays hardly for a couple of seconds.

Then it changes to this banner which started to appear after todays software update. Selecting state/city takes you to another page to generate OTP and code.

These are the plan details I see currently.

Cap update / LYF user / Active preview but moved to Welcome.

Cap started between 11.30-12 pm, after downloading under 2gb.
Cap remain active till 8 pm, started to download again. Lets see.

Out of 2 Lyf phones with me, one has gotten converted to Jio Welcome offer. My phone still remains on the preview, but dunno for how long.

Secondly, interconnect issue still not solved. Sad.

Update: the glitch has been fixed. Even that store is now demanding codes.

A friend went on the 1st and got a token for the 7th. At that time also they were giving open sims without code. Today he went at the scheduled time to submit docs and collect sim and they said not without code.

Reliance Digital Belapur Update #2:

My friend went on the 7th at the scheduled time with his token. They said they need a code now, not possible without code. So he went home and generated a code on his iphone 4s. We went back on the 8th at around 5pm. There were two lines. One line had about 60-70 people and was for those without a previously given token. They were getting a sim just by showing the code. And a smaller line with about 15-20 people who were previously issued tokens. My friend got his sim in about 10-15 minutes using the aadhar e-kyc process.[DOUBLEPOST=1473387188][/DOUBLEPOST]Jio keeps updating/renaming their apps on an almost daily basis. Yesterday got an in app update for Netvelocity Enterprise to 3.2.6. Changes i saw were there are now two test options, quick and full.

They've also renamed JioJoin to Jio4GVoice.

I think Interconnection issue is spoiling the taste of using the free calling, if Jio is unable to solve it then no use in using it after 31st Dec. AVoID has given a letter to PMO saying that they'll be unable to allot more POI and the govt cannot Force them to do so.

Avoid has no option but to fulfill their legally binding clause when they bought spectrum. Jio has to get internconnect.
Whether promotional free calls or whatever. They can not refuse interconnect point.

I am sure mota bhai would get them to provide poi on legal order based on their contractual obligation at time of license purchase.

It's matter of time.

And those hardcore callers would get the other party also on jio. That also would lead to avoid loosing money.[DOUBLEPOST=1473389095][/DOUBLEPOST]When both callers get on jio due to frustration of Avoid group.

Who will loose ?

TRAI already proposed no interconnect fee. So it's matter of time before Avoid looses that as revenue source.

Exactly. A matter of time. A legal battle could take months. And in this time if Jio's bubble bursts, it's pretty much game over for that 100mn plan. Already people are frustrated calling to/from other networks. Couple days back an uncle calls on my Jio number after I told him, only call my old Voda number. He said his son said "Jio is blocked". So he wanted to check for real if he could reach my number. He got through first try anyway, but the reality is quite bad...

All AVoId has to do is draw out the matter into court, once they reach the court all they have to say is 'Oh ok, we'll give the interconnect now that you're insisting'. In this time, All the free users and potential paying users would be pretty tired of Jio's service even though it's not their fault. The advantage incumbents have is that they're incumbent. And have a huge pretty fixed subscriber base as leverage.

If Mota bhai can get Arnab Goswami on his side then he will get the interconnect quote increased in a jiffy. [emoji2]

Actually, there are two problems I see with Jio not able to fully capitalize on their 'courageous' plan (Once Apple says it, all will eventually use it :P )

Firstly, is the interconnect issue. This can however be easily cleared up, since most people will take a Jio number or will port to Jio.

Second is the non FUP. I would have liked them to have FUP on all plans about 500 INR, since we get the same with AVoID group.

By FUP you mean technically limited but (advertised as) unlimited plan? (Where speed drops after quota is finished)
