Hello Friends, my friend wants to purchase a new system as his current system is a bit old now and is giving a lot of issues. So, he decided to upgrade his system completely.
I'm posting his current config, so please suggest a decent rig which could last atleast 3-4 years.
1. Q: What is your budget?
1. 30K (MAX)
2. Q: What is your existing hardware configuration (component name - component brand and model)
1. CPU - Intel Dual Core(1.6Ghz)
2. Motherboard - Intel 945G
3. GPU - Nvidia 8400GS 512MB DDR2
4. RAM - Transcend 2X1GB
5. Monitor - Samsung 17" CRT
6. SMPS - Intex 450W
7. Keyboard - Zebronics
8.Mouse - Local(dont know the brand actually)
3. Q: Which hardware will you be keeping (component name - component brand and model)
1. Monitor - Samsung 17 inch
2.GPU - Nvidia 8400 GS 512 MB
3. HDD - WD 500GB Blue + Seagate 160GB
4. Q: Which hardware component are you looking to buy (component name). If you have already decided on a configuration then please mention the (component brand and model) as well, this will help us in fine tuning your requirement.
1. *CPU - Intel i5/ AMD equivalent (Quad Core)
2. *Motherboard - any compatible motherboard(USB 3.0 supporting)(preferred on the location of service center and A.S.S. in Delhi)
3. GPU - Any decent GPU(Only if budget allows,can opt for a better GPU than 8400 GS)
4. Monitor - Depends on the budget(if left with some cash)
5. *SMPS - 400W/450W
6. *Cabinet - CM 335 Elite / CM 690 II
7. *RAM - 2 X 2 GB DDR3 (any good brand, no transcend and kingston plz)
8. *Keyboard and Mouse(any good brand)
9. *CPU cooler - any compatible air cooler if not included with processor
(Fields with * are most prioritized)

1. Do not want to buy Asus product as I heard the after sales service in India is pathetic.
10. Q: If you will be playing games then which type of games will you be playing?
1. Racing - Grid,NFS at medium to high settings
2. FPS - COD MW2, Crysis Warhead and other similar FPS games
Would be able to play all the modern games (in medium to high settings)
11. Q: What is your preferred monitor resolution for gaming and normal usage
1. Gaming - 1280x1024
2. Desktop - 1280x024
12. Q: Are you looking to overclock?
1. Yes(but not extreme overclocking, but the hardware should support overclocking as he might get interested in O.C.ing his setup)

Well please a setup for building a CPU with decent figures.
If we can get a full setup with monitor and GPU then that too is acceptable. :cool2:
