Tell u what, those temps aren't that great...

Be careful and check case airflow. Screw the CM and get some AS5 ASAP m8 !

Hmm......... I could warm a stake on that........

I upped the Vcore to 1.43 V (i think the mobo is undervolting the CPU a bit) and now it seems stable. But my god, 55 C! What kind of temp is actually safe on these things?

Conclusion: Stock HSF a big no no for DC ocing.......

Hmm, its not better than XP90.......... the comparision was made with the XP90 fitted with the same 80 mm delta that sits on the stock Opty 165....... a XP90 with a proper panaflo 85 CFM fan is way better.

Did my first vcore increment. @ 1.375 V now. Got a BSOD when botting with stock Vcore @ 280 x 9. Priming.........

Lets see what I get....... :D
Actiually you can fit any 80mm fan on this amd stock heatsink as well.
Mind you that panaflow 85cfm is very very very noisy fan. And if you fit better fan on this heatsink it will perform even better. Copper aluminium combination will work better than all aluminium combination.
Ask darky how horrifying temps are on xp-90 with his opty 170.
XP90 is big nono for DC ocing.

What does the heatsink have to do with Dual Core?? Does DC produce so much of heat that stock heatpipe HS of AMD is better than XP-90??

^^ yeah nikhil DC's are having more heat dissipation than the single core ones ..... AFAIK single cores have 89w of TDP where DC are 110w ....

hmm even the SI120 is not good for dual core and OC??

Its good enough. Actiually its designed for DC.
52-53C full load at 2.7Ghz is perfectly acceptable in my book. This is with no aircondition. Conserving electricity this month due to possible shortage in may :P
And due to fact that line will be cut for those who use more than 300 units here in mumbai :S

I am priming this baby a lot these days and it seems to be paying off.
1.488v @ 2.7Ghz seems to be prime stable. 2 hours and counting :)

Ok... Kido... Those temps are high... Slap THAT HYPER 6+ NOW...

arrey but how? i dont have any ANY any thermal paste with me. i am just waiting for my order from sidewinders to come to me. 12gms of AS5+

Hmm, 200 fps topped with same gfx card and settings..... earlier i used to get 156 something with 3000+ @ 2.48 Ghz. Big improvement..........

Wasnt 2.7 Ghz prime stable @ 1.4V funky? Mine needs 1.4V+ to be 2.520 Ghz stable (6 min Dual SP2004, will do a longer run later, or maybe OCCT)

You have very short memory kido :P

You asked same question in opty ocing thread. And i answered there too :P

lol man indeed. but care quote what u told me in there?

*i hope its not stuff about windows undervolting ur cpu......... i read a lot of threads in XS and found out that it happens in case u hv cnq enabled*

temps r getting too sizzly in here. shud i back off my oc till i can get the hyper6+ back on?
