Ah, we have a wise guy in the house. I've been here long enough to look at the site before demanding a link. The only discounted price is see is http://www.shopclues.com/samsung-galaxy-note-3-n9000-white.html

Which is a tad shy of the claimed 45k pricing.

Deal is up again, incase u wanna buy it. Also links added this time.

@blr_p, yes after so many updates it still does. Yes there's a way to underclock for these simple activities but we are talking about the default condition, not everybody knows to use these methods and truthfully speaking it's with my brother who doesn't like to mess with all these things.

Does android OS really required Octa-Core?
I am having SGS+ with 1.4Ghz qualcomm processor and it runs without any lag on Android 4.3 (Custom rom)..

Not the OS but many apps / high end games may leverage the extra processing power / cores. This is what i think and may be wrong.
Moreover it is also for marketing and sales. That is the reason you would probably see 4GB,8GB RAM in phones in future.

4/8gb of ram will be insane, even an old P4 with 1gb of ram can run any linux distro.

Problem is with operating system which is not really being optimized to run properly. If android is optimized then i am sure they do not need such desktop level hardware on phones for now.

So the hope is the exynos in the note 3 will be better, then again it might not be.

Congratulations! Do post your impressions regarding the battery and thermal performance once you have some apps loaded.

Will do...... But for the startup this feels more handy then the Note 2 the feel of the back cover is really good.

One weird thing the model # says N900 isn't it should be N9000 ?

Was listening to ranjit yesterday and his advice was get used to it ! He got the s4 at launch and its his primary driver.

10 minutes of 3g browsing in hyderabad and its hot. How hot ? does a case help here. I would say its mandatory. Then is it still operable or too hot to handle.

With ever faster CPUs. i don't know whether things will improve or not.
