No doubt its worthy upgrade to SII but I am totally disappointed by its looks. To me it more looks like leak build not final from Samsung. BTW if we look at high resolution images such as this - http://www.ferra.ru/images/322/322493.jpg

It looks fine

Its going to be priced ~ 35-38k

and will launch in India on 29th May ... (ET)

What about the 16/32/64gb options? If all of them launch here, then will they price 64gb at 40k+? That'll be awful. If the 16gb version comes around 33k-35k, that would be very good. Samsung will also think about the Note's sales and they'll price it so that Note sales wont be affected. A price drop on Note will be the best thing though.

Or a price boost for the s3 since it has garnered a repo now.i reckon the base version will start at 38 k over here.

I am beginning to be ok with the phone. Shape is not the best. Depending on how they price it I have to get one of the following,

SGS3, HTC One S, Note, Galaxy Nexus, Razr or Razr Maxx

Samsung Galaxy S III India launch in June first wee

So launch date is confirmed as well as pricing which is in line with One X ie., MRP around 38k and street price in the 35k range.

Blame the INR. USD-INR almost @ 54. Last year May it was 44! So a 20% increase which is reflected in the pricing too. Last year SII MRP was 33k and now SIII @ 38k

Personally, i really liked the design of the Nexus. So obviously i have no problems with this design either albeit i would have liked it to be a buttonless design. Wolfson DAC - as someone pointed out is something that i was praying for, since sound quality was one of the main reasons i sold my S2. All i am waiting for is the battery stats. With my usage, an S2 used to last only 8-10 hrs at most. I am hoping that they might have made the quad core efficient in this regard, otherwise i will have to let it go more sooner than i would like to. Earlier it was ok but now since i am on the move a lot, i need a phone that lasts at least a day as i don't like to carry extra batteries.

@abhifusion I am disappoint by the design and the phone on the whole. And since I already have the S2 I will be waiting for the next iPhone

Both S2 and S3 use the same GPU ie. Mali-400mp. Is this GPU good? Or better than Adreno? Asking because i am confused which android cellphone to buy if i want portable gaming.

Its clocked much higher in S3 than the S2. AFAIK it's like 65% faster.

The GPU is the same as you said but its clocked higher so it's better than the current Adreno series of GPUs. Here's a pic of NenaMark on S3:

But the upcoming series of Adreno maybe more capable than this.

I've played many games on Android Devices.

I played on one friends Evo 3D. Like 9mm and Asphalt 6. I found the game running better on It than on other friends SII. HTC uses Adreno 220 and SII uses Mali-400mp. Which of these two is actually better? IMO i found Adreno better. So If mali is clocked higher than Adreno 220. Will it be performing better than adreno 220?

Plus new Snapdragons S4 are coming out with with Adreno 320, 225. I've heard that the Upcoming Snapdragon S4 APQ8064 is to have this Krait Quad Core CPU clocked at 2.4 and 2.5Ghz. As far as i think they will outperform this Exonys of SIII. So what do you guys say?

Also is the DUal Core Kait CPu's Clocked at 1.7Ghz and bundled with Adreno 225 like in evo 4g lte and zte v96 better than the on in s3? Cause they've been out for quite a while now?

Flipkart equivalent pricing at release will be 38k for 16gb version. Within 1-2 months it will come down to 35-36k street pricing but unlikely during the first week or two, at least not everywhere. This is for 16gb though, 32gb will probably be 4-6k more and 64gb will prolly be nearing 50k.

Get a 16 GB and put in a 32GB Class 10 & you have got apprx 48 GB which would enough for 90% of the users.

I am Using My R with a 32-GB card, And I have around 8GB free of the 33GB available to me(29 in card, 4 in Internal)...

So, I guess a 16+32GB combo would suffice for many!
