Need your opinion if this is legitimate? any other good deals in the same range? my budget is currently 35-36k..

Dont fall for such scams. In terms and conditions, its written that you'll get hosting first and AFTER you confirm the receipt of the item, they're gonna send you the phone in 10-20 days. Don't see that happening as once you confirm the receipt, the seller gets paid in a few days.

I like it very much . My only worry is that if the Magnet on top (which is used to close the pouch) will have any effect on the screen.

My friend told me that overtime it'll leave a mark on the screen, don't know how true is that?

Finally i am buying the phone tomorrow ,Mostly i think i got a deal ,with or without deal i am getting it tomorrow,

Now ,i have a dilemma, please suggest me on this, i was able to see a live demo piece in "Marble White"

It looks truly gorgeous ,But my mind is set to Pebble blue,

But i couldn't find a demo piece any where

to have a look my self

Guys those who have bought Pebble blue ,

How does is its looks Compared to white,

Does that light white texture lines in pebble blue look elegant are they visible and make an impact on the look of the phone or from a distance phone looks just Dark blue

My only concern is am not very good at maintenance if i go for white i am worry abt some dirt marks or scratches that might look very ugly on this Hyper glaze surface

Give me an idea which one to go for

Which screen guard is good for S3 ?? Scratchgard listing on ebay have this in the details -> "This Model is Curve Screen so it is little bit short in width then the screen size (Its rectangular not the full screen)", seriously if it dont fit the screen well then why the hell they are selling it !?

^^ So far, I have bought and tried two screen guards

Screen Ward
Does not suit the S3 at all. It does not even cover the screen width wise and the height is also incorrect. Looked like they just put S3 sticker on S2 guards and selling them

A bit better in terms of dimensions in that it at least fits height wise and just the same width as the screen (so at least the screen is covered). The problem with this is that since it doesn't properly fit the entire width of the phone, the edges come off a bit around the corners. Also the image looks somewhat grainy and you have to get used to it. However the guard felt pretty good to operate on. Fingers don't get stuck on the surface during operation.

I have had good experience with the Scratchgard brand in the past and I don't think they would sell guards that don't fit properly. Maybe homeshop18 is just putting I9300 labels on guards made for other phones and trying to make a quick buck. Maybe I am reading too much into it, but it sort of makes sense since the first screen guard that I bought which was a really bad fit was also from homeshop18 on eBay. Scratchgard website doesn't even list Galaxy S3.

If you want a screen guard now, I would suggest the Amzer. It is considerably cheaper than the other alternatives and at least covers the screen properly. Once the correctly cut screen guards become available, you can swap it.

Went to purchase Blue S3 this morning along with a friend, Both the boxes were June Mfg and Import... Compared the screen with friends S3( *#0*# test), his S3 was perfect white, mine had pink tint on the lower 1/3 of the phone ... Showed the shopkeeper the same asked to send it for DOA, thankfully I didn't pay the amount... Now thing is, I don't think he will replace another piece if it also turns out with pink tint problem... So can I go to Samsung SVC and claim DOA by myself, will they agree to the pink tint issue?? Or I have to do it from shopkeeper only ??
Please clarify me about these DOA procedure and how to approach SVC if in any case I observe some problem with the unit...
Lord Nemesis , Then I'll have to go with Amzer Screen Guard for now, it does not have matte finish right?? Seems Scratchgard website is not updated since 2009, they don't even list S1, S2 !

Hi Guys,

Today had my SIM cut to the required form factor ,But unfortunately the phone is not detecting the SIM CARD it says "Sim card not inserted"
but this sim is still perfectly working with my old phone(it tried restarting and a factory reset as well)

What should i do now..

So can I go to Samsung SVC and claim DOA by myself, will they agree to the pink tint issue?? Or I have to do it from shopkeeper only ??

I think you can try your luck at the Samsung service center and you should get a new replacement. Try to take your friend along and show his phone as a comparison.

When I got my phone from samsung smartphone cafe they said their policy for DOA was for me to go to service center anyway and get a defect acknowledgement and come back to get an over the counter replacement.

Try restarting a few times and wait for a while. I had the same problem when I first got the phone and after 10 mins it logged onto the mobile network. I think this happens with older sims (Mine didn't even allign with the cutter and they had to use scissors) since the problem cropped up again after a reboot a few days later and I had to remove and reinsert the sim.

I decided to get a replacement microsim from Airtel, I got mine from the Airtel center and it was activated in 2 hours and they charged Rs.25/-

ok got rectified yes the problem is with my sim its not cut properly once again cut using a scissor now everything works perfect

Got my S3. Busy today, but I did get chance to check the phone before leaving home. And to my surprise I for the first time have no ink mark / dot on this screen. I have owned 6 Samoled screen phones over last year and all had this. But this made and imported in June marble white phone has none.:thumbup:
Came preloaded with LE9 firmware.
Still get to play with this more late tonight.

Get an acknowlegement from the seller the day you collect the replacement , though ideally since you haven't paid yet the invoice would not yet be generated at his shop right ?

Actually you shouldn't buy the phone even if the replacement is defective again
