hd4670 + samsung 2033 will be fine ,but check out its resolution urself before buying it
gaming with 4670 on 2233sw not possible ,it will be possible if u still play roadrash or play board games..hehe
u will be able to play games on low resolutions but if thats the case why buy a 22inch go for 20inch
xbox games will be great on a 22inch :ohyeah:
if u can spend 10k on a 22inch y not get the lcd then wait for some months till u can affort extra 5k then sell ur 4670 and get a 4850 or get another 4670 if u canuse crossfire for that card (i m not sure abt CF)
2033sw=Rs 7200
2233sw=Rs 10090

Can any one tell me how the Samsung 2233sw perform when gaming at non-native resolutions? What if I were to game at 1600X900(16:9 ratio)? Will it look really bad. My friend has a viewsonic display and he games at 800X600 instead of the native 1440X900 native resolution on the 17" screen. It doesn't look too bad.

Mostly every LCD will look good at its native resolution only. If u want to set it in 1600 x 900 resolution, then its your choice. I don't think u should set this resolution, as it is's native resolution is 1920 x 1080 .

Ultimately everyone has to settle for lower resolutions as its not easy to change the graphic card every year and games will just keep getting more and more demanding. So gaming at below native resolution becomes a necessity and not a choice. If I lower the resolution on this monitor but keep the aspect ratio same, how will the games look? And is the absence of HDMI a big problem. Is there anything like a HDMI to DVI connector for this.

Actually I just need someone to tell me about how games will look on it while playing at 1600X900 or other 16:9 ratios just like Mr. Sidhu_21 has done here for the Benq 22" monitor.

It'll be fine actually. On my samsung 16:9 1360x768 monitor, 1280x720 looks fine. Any other lower resolution suck bad. 1600x900 has same 16:9 AR ratio of 1.77:1 as 1920x1080

Well, i too own a 2233SW, and i did game on not native resolutions. to be honest, i dint quite like the view in non-native. the game and the game texts look a little blurry. rest depends on how much is your eye for detail.

HDMI port helps if u also plan to use your monitor for console gaming. I am not sure of a HDMI to DVI converter, but obviously that would be available. graphics cards have atleast DVI connector and a DVI-to-HDMI converter is bundled along with the card.

Also to add one point, Samsung 2233 does not come along with a DVI-to-DVI cable, you will need to buy it separately. DVI-D single link ~Rs. 250. DVI-D Dual link - ~rs. 400-700.

Finally my suggestion would be to buy the 2233 monitor, as it will last a long time for you while you may change multiple graphic cards thru the lifetime of your pc.

i bought the 2233sw from bangalore 2 weeks back for Rs9600 all inclusive.
great monitor i must say, i have been gaming onit all day.
no ghosting no issues.

only con: no DVi cable bundled so have to get one now.
