Absolutely just as you said i hope that they dont neglect Bada the way they did with the Jet. Remember it too had excellent hardware . A half decent navigation app, a good browser and a good IM.But these are not available in Bada right now & thats all i expect from the Wave. But sadly its not there right now. Dont get me wrong i too love the Wave for the kind of hardware at price its being offered.

Yes...currently there are around 184 applications for the Indian region. I think it will increase to atleast 500 by the end of this year once the device is easily/offiially available everywhere.

wish android be ported to wave! nice phone (probably the best specced phone ever) but crappy os.

Anyway, there just aren’t enough Bada OS compatible applications yet so there’s little difference (beyond hardware) between the Samsung S8500 Wave and a Samsung S8000 Jet. Although it excels in user-friendliness, the Samsung Wave doesn’t quite feel like a smartpone just yet due to the limited third-party software.

i jus got my wave today :) :) :) simply amazing. Its not officially out in Bangalore but i managed to get it from someone i know :) he said he couldnt bill it coz its not officially out here :) but i gotta say its sweeeeeeeeet!!!!!! you have to see the screen to believe it, videos cant to justice to it. and there are many free samsung apps right now :) im jus browsing through them....

I got it for 18000 :) came wit a 2gb card and a nice leather pouch :) the music quality is superb too. way better than my beat dj which had a b&o chip

congrats on the phone soumalidon! can you find out from ur contact as to when dealers will be getting Galaxy S? I'm going to my dealer today to see what happened after y'day's launch party :p

just met the dealer, he said that Galaxy S should be in stores on Thursday.. So I'm guessing its the same for the Wave as well.. as the launch party was for both these phones..

my contact had the galaxy s, i didnt bother to look into it since i was not interested in that phone. Anyway both phones will be available soon so no stress :)

@Lord i dont have the patience to write a review :) besides there are millions of em online already :)

Just called up Alfa @ 02226713459. It hasn't arrived yet. Also they have no idea when it will be here.
He asked me to call back and check next week.

How about a short write up with the major points/impressions. Of course there are reviews, but somethings are better coming from a user rather than a professional reviewer whose sole job is reviewing phones. For example gsmarena reported that this phone a battery life champ. But there are a number of non-believers who stamped BS on it. Its better to hear about those things from a user.

A few things that come to mind.

- Display visibility in sunlight.

- Battery life (Standby time, video playback time)

- Camera quality.

- Call Reception quality (loudness, clarity)

- Ringtone audibility

- Music and Video quality.

- UI/App store impressions.

- Any problems/inconveniences you can think about so far.
