I think this is the longest download of firmware so far. I think the whole thing is getting updated from the skeleton.

Have you guys tried the following on ur wave.

Social N/W : Facebook , Twitter , myspace.

Mail : Office Exchange Mail [is this push mail], Gmail , Hotmail , Yahoo

Chat and Voice chat: Msn , Yahoo , Skype , gtalk

GPS and Maps: Point directions from src to dest.

Video app : for Youtube

Keyboard App : iphone keybaord for samsung wave 8500

Does it get detected as mass storage on win xp 32 and win 7 64 bit os , also does the kies app work properly on both the os.

everything u mentioned works....... even mass storage...... Kies works perfectly on Win7 x64...

everything is gr8 abt this phone except its gone out of stock.....

Is there even a skype voice and text chat on the wave fr sure for the bada os coz i cant see it on the skye website.

I dont think there is a skype app for bada.

There is no official Skype release yet for Bada O.S guys, Soon they too will release... Only Parlingo is available right now for Bada with AIM and GTALK support in it.

All I could find was top task bar is now visible even on the lock screen....... other than tht the alarm icon seem to be chnged....

Also there is new Software Update menu in settings....

Why doesnt Samsung give a log with every FW??

i m on os version 1.0 now sinc new version is out there wenever i tries updating my OS ,kies tell me server is not responding maore sure that ur internet connection is working... need some input ?? btw my kies is on latest version

u must hav some AV or firewall blocking the update pg.........

It happened to me as well..... had kaspersky.... paused it and update went smoothly
