He is a phone reviewer...got those for review purpose , If decides to keep / buy them (or new one) a very nominal price (huge discount ) like Steve Litchfield.

Some times company just give away handsets to the reviewer, developer community for free to promote the product. Like couple of days ago Nokia distribute E7 for free
