^^ That really isn't necessary as it is not a full fledged shoot-out, it is more of the factor of how Core architecture and fabrication has changed over the year and how this were to impact performance from the point-of-view of a single core per CPU if that process was still being followed in CPU manufacture instead of multi-core designs.
 
per core performance of AMD cpu's are only better than old pentium.......just hope bulldozer can turn the tables......
 
Conclusion says that AMD processors keep up and even better intel in multithreaded apps so the single core performance charts actually make it look a little worse. If bulldozer can improve in this department along with 8 cores and decent pricing it will be quite a killer chip.

Chances look slim in the single-thread department, but the module architectures increased FUP [floating point unit] ceiling promises a decent raise in the multi-thread department.
