Eazy can u transfer me ur Hathway account please hyeah:
Yeh well you could say so, but ive seen like in some of my frnds places where they have 256 k data one, they get speeds of 40KBps to 50 during that time, so ultimately i guess its all the same, coz sify will never ever give anything above 32 at any time of the day.archish said:I still feel its better than bsnl dataone with 1 gb cap which roughly translates to 33mb per day. They have unlimited downloads only from 2-8. Compared to Dataone Sify looks better IMHO.

Some part of the country??? I stay in Mumbai.. in Andheri.. and no airtel.. no sify.. infact no isp other than MTNL provides 256 kbps in my area!!priyoban said:Y would any1 want to buy sify? Mayb coz thats the only thing close to bb available in some parts of the country that has even some semblence of national standards. The other thing we have is alliance bb which is absolute bull shit rather use dial up. And airtel made an entry so late that ppl who were dying to get a bb connection had already taken up sify. And now those idiots wont give the money back. The took around 2 grand for the wiring claiming that piece of wiring belongs to you completely. Now even if we shift to airtel and say take away that wire what are we supposed to do with it? Hang our clothes?
So we're stuck baby, stuck on a you.
priyoban said:Ya well those peaks are bcoz of server lags u dont actually get 40, but like bsnl actually gives u a stable 50...
Thats wat initially some of us thought, but then it happened with 3 of them and they were all on 256 k. So cant be mere coincidence.archish said:I was talking about bsnl. Never got 50 on bsnl 256k line. maybe your friend is using 512k line.

for one, its the cheapest 'broadband' u cud get in India.bluffmaster said:Why the would anybody wanna buy sify ??
Wow thats like a brilliant reason to get sify dude, play from your own home, much better than forking out 50 bucks everytime you want have a couple of matches. Accha So im in cal... you think I could also log onto those servers with my sify account? How do I do it?TheMask said:for one, its the cheapest 'broadband' u cud get in India.
for two, i dont need to pay extra for a phone which i wont use
three, i am online at nights and download only at nights..
four, (most important of all) there are a couple of browsing centres/cafes hookes up to the server.. so i get to play CZ with as many as 20 guys at one time..
naa.. all the browsing cafes n my comp are hooked (ultimately) to the same single Sify Gateway server .. hence we are all on LAN.. hehe.. calling it a WAN wud be more appropriate i think.. and yep, playing from home on my own uber l33t 6600 is much better than playing on "MX440(64-bit)-with-64MB-memory-dude!!!"priyoban said:Accha So im in cal... you think I could also log onto those servers with my sify account?
