Sify reduces rates

I chucked Sify a couple of months back. Had the 10-8 unlimited plan 256kbps. POOR speeds (8-10KBps DL / Frequent downtimes / PATHETIC service. Switched to TataIndicom 128kbps full day unlimited broadband. NO CAPS for the whole day. Excellent service. never seen anything like this in India before. trust me. last two months, only once there was a connectivity problem but sorted out in a couple of hours. The call centre guy was atleast more knowledgable than those sify delete-your-temp-files guys. I get DL speeds of more than 40-50KBps on an average.

Now my bro keeps getting calls from Sify junta to try this plan and that. they have the audacity to tell him that the problem might be at our end. yeah right. When asked to technically prove it he could not ... I asked my bro to send him screenshots of Super-Snail-Sify speeds and the current Tata speeds. No reply or calls since then... :).

Bottomline: Sify SUCKS!! big time.
 
Boy..... you sure are living upto your nick SPITEFUL :P

I have heard that Tata's service is really good. Even Chaos was praising it. But for me, I am very very happy with Airtel's service. not a single downtime till now since July I guess...... Totally rocks!!
 
yeah...went a bit too far there, didn;t I heh heh.

but I wanted to drive the message that Sify is truely bad... Our co has a tie-up with Tata Indicom... I got a discount in the installation charges. but thats all...

as far as speed, service and technology is concerned I think that should not matter. they have laid fibre optic cables in our area... (Kondwa - Pune). So for me its Tata for now and tata to sify. :D

unfortunately cant use it for some time now... :|

128-512.. i think thats like a min assured speed of 128kbps which may go upto max 512Kbps.. when there are more users the speed might go as low as 128.. when there arent many, u may get all the 512kbps to urself..

Maybe in the future ill tell him "I know what you do on your pc" :rofl:

But yea, Sify sucks. My frnd had it... Changed from Hathway to Sify... Lol.. Idiot..

Frequent downtimes, pings keep fluctuating. blah Blah.

Exatt in Mumbai is also awesome. Its really good. With almost no downtimes.

But recently theyved reduced speeds by 40% due to "Network Choke and Loss issues".
