Amnesia is an FPS game, which i strictly avoid playing..especially on PC....
If you love this genre, you should play it IMO. LOL and I thought games like Doom 3 and Fear were scary.

Breaking the seal puzzle in Episode 5 pissed me off real bad! :@

Managed to figure out later that the dials had to be turned and X had to be pressed to set the dial. I kept pressing O to get out of it. Wasted almost close to an hour on this shit. Only complete one episode today. What a waste! :(

Yeah and both of you guys - Allwyn and Anand. Please stick to spoilers when you mention anything relating to the plot. Thanks to both of you, I figured out who's the final boss, meh! :|

Please edit them out and put them under spoiler tags.

Just when I thought Seigo Saiga shot himself!

What spoiler did I post? *confused*

I used spoiler tags, right from my very first post to avoid spilling the beans. BTW
Saga is not the final boss
Even if we post every bit of detail out here, it won't make much of a difference. Mark my words, when you're done with this games, you'll be left dazed and confused.

Saigo in end was simple....not that tough except for the Sword play part :P

Melissa's Maggot was agile in approach than other shibito's :P

Saigo's first part was a bit tough for me, initially. I didn't really know how to approach him. I had a stupid Hunting Rifle, while his was a sawed-off double barrel shotgun. He could easily get 2 hits on me while I reloaded my weapon. Then I realized, the closer I am to him, the more is the impact of his weapon on me. So I maintained some distance and kept moving side-ways and kept getting head shots on him. Before I know, the cut-scene rolled in. The rest of the part was dam easy. I find it funny Saigo mentioned about Dante and Beatrice. :P

10 chars.

That's not the final boss. Andy went a bit over-board while making his comment to my earlier post, which was spoiler tagged, as you can notice.

^Whatever but at least both of your posts revealed that

Saigo was not dead despite him shooting himself at the end of Ep. 4. And here I was thinking he was dead!

I was browsing through the thread to find if any of you guys found the puzzle hard and found this instead! I repeat please edit that post to put them under spoiler tags.

Spoiler Taged what I *think* could be a revelation. I obviously can't edit Andy's posts OR his posts which have quoted my responses. So it's best you stay out of the last 4 pages until you complete the game. Apologies for the inconvinience.

^No problem. Good that you've changed it now. Shouldn't be a problem for others i.e. Shall ask Anand to edit his posts as well.

A weekend means at least 4~5 chapters. If I can complete it by 25th, I can grab Dead Space 2 by then. Reading the archives for a good half an hour every day after playing the game. The storyline is complicated indeed. :ashamed:

WTH Wright's blog exists in real! :O

That's what I told him too. :P

BTW I never thought anyone else would take interest in this game, besides us 2. ;)

Completed until Episode 9, Chapter 4. What a confusing storyline. One moment you see the normal character the next chapter you see his/her Shibito. WTF!

Why did these guys ever come to the island? :|

Reading up on the archives. Collected very few apart from the ones usually unlocked.

Patience Roy! You'll get all the answers once you complete the game and read the GameFAQ's story guide.

Completed it just now. Greeted with yet another WTF ending! Great! Clocked 14 hours and 20 minutes. Now to read up the rest of the archives and to understand the storyline properly.

The most irritating part in the last level was where Sam had to protect Bella when those Spider Shibitos keeps spawning from all directions and all we have is a frikking double-barelled shotgun and to fire a shot we need to aim through the scope. And a pathetic map to add to this. And not all objectives are given pointers in the map. For instance, how the hell are we supposed to know that the nurse is the shibito brain when we need to take her down with the wooden stake in one of the chapters in Ep. 10?

^Ep. 10 Shibito Brain is in the Outdoor house where u started the game (rmbr as soon as u start the level with seigo a nurse attacks u, yea thats the same nurse). U just nail her and you will be done with your sub-objective :P

The Map IMO is the best if u twist n turn it with Right Stick.

1 Shot from the shotgun was enuff to kill the shibitos :P

^Twist n turn all is fine. Done that but I've seen better maps in other games. Assassin's creed for instance. If the objective lies on another level, it differentiates it w.r.t the darkness of the pointer. But when some of the objectives don't have the pointers at all, IDK what to look out for.

Did knock out that nurse but never knew she was the brain. How did you know? By the looks of her?

^I accidently went back thru the outdoor to the beginning, of the episode to finish the game and she was there. So I got a prompt of nailing her head, I did that and the Sub objective got ticked off, that was such a relief, I was freely able to roam around after that :P

^Because unless you do that there is no way you can complete that chapter since there is another shibito in the ground levels where you get the wooden stake from. This shibito will die only when you kill the brain i.e the nurse here.

And what flimsy camera angles. Pissed me off at times. Otherwise the haunt factor surely is a plus for the game. Esp. Bella in the hospital/house levels wherein only stealth/sighting works.
