After bagging four Golden Globe awards its time for Oscar :) .

* Best Picture: Slumdog Millionaire
* Best Director: Danny Boyle
* Best Adapted Screenplay: Simon Beaufoy
* Best Original Score: A R Rahman
* Best Song: Jai Ho and O Saya(A R Rahman)
* Cinematography: Anthony Dod Mantle
* Film editing: Chris Dickens
* Sound editing: Tom Sayers
* Sound mixing: Ian Tapp, Richard Pryke, Resul Pookutty

Man!!! Rahman! Rahman! he got three nomination :ohyeah: Best Original Score, Two song nomination. This makes the film must watch. Result would be announced on 22 Feb'2009 at the 81st Annual Academy Awards.

Sometimes it make me feel that had it been a Indian Film though it is India based but it is a British film, would it got that many nomination.

Anyway lets keep those talk in the pocket and hope Rahman get the Oscar :clap: . As it going to release tomorrow, I waited for it can't miss it. Never a Indian based film got that many nomination. Must have to see.

My predictions (win in Red)

In Past Rahman had given better music then what he has given in Slumdog Millionaire, But this Goras!! are now giving Oscar to him. Hope they give him because Bollywood talent is been awared by all the corner of the world, how long wil the Oscar stay behind.:devil2: I could not help thinking the British Connection to it.

Anyway Rahman Jai Ho!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bring the Second and Third Oscar to India. :P

Going to Watch Tomorrow

agreed......
rangela and taal had much better score...alsothe mangal pandey and rdb how can u 4get the fusion....

btw i liked o saya more than jai hoon...

SO u guys knows jain hoon song was originally of the movie yuvraaj...subhash ghai thght its a waste...and than rahman used it here aand he gets nominated

The movie got nominated not because it's made by British director, but because it belongs to American studio Fox searchlight films and registered as Hollywood movie.

PS: he brought change to Indian music. He changed the way music is scored in movies. Now, he it's the turn of Hollywood to taste the sweetness of Modern Indian music

You forgot cinematography, so....

* Best Adapted Screenplay: Simon Beaufoy
* Best Original Score: A R Rahman
* Best Song: Jai Ho and O Saya(A R Rahman)
* Cinematography: Anthony Dod Mantle
* Film editing: Chris Dickens

I think 3 are in the bag, screenplay, film editing & cinematography, the rest are less clear. Pleasantly surprised to know it even got nominated, hope it wins.

BTW, i only count 9 nominations so is there one missing ?
