Graphic Cards So, what is your most exciting GPU launch of this year and why...?

So, all the big GPU companies have released their new cards. Intel and AMD went for the budget and midrange, and Nvidia might be dropping the RTX 5060 in a few days. Out of all the new GPUs, which one do you think offers the best bang for your buck? And if you have any of them, what has your experience been like?


As for me, performance and good power efficiency are the most important factors when choosing a graphics card.

For somebody who knows how to make the most out of an RTX 5090, it was the most exciting until the street prices were revealed to be nowhere close to the MSRP.

The second most exciting launch was the 9070 XT. The actual prices aren't absurd and are something you can realistically purchase during the launch period. FSR4 sits somewhere in between DLSS3 and DLSS4. Video encoding and decoding is improved from previous generation.

The next exciting launch of this year is likely to be the unconfirmed 9070 XTX. I wonder if anything can be done now to brute-force more performance out of RDNA4, but 32GB VRAM is quite nice.

9070 non xt if I'm a gamer but want efficiency.
Reasonable price drop on ADA RTX workstation cards would be the most exciting GPU thingy for me by a mile, personally.
Need to see what the entry level 5060 family and amd equivalent brings. Someone mentioned that shiny jacket guy is like an aggressive dog when it comes to competition so 5060ti would be interesting.

I was excited for both Nvidia's and AMD's new cards, but after seeing the current local prices, no new launch makes any sense. 50 series cards are selling for prices that around 50% more than it should be and some of them for a 100% more.

The 9070 and 9070XT are also being sold for much higher prices than they ought to be. For example the US pricing for the Nitro+ 9070XT is $730/-, and here its sells for anywhere between ₹80K and ₹95k, with most listings around ₹90K.

The funniest thing is that a retailer has the audacity to host a contest, giving participants a chance to buy a 5080 at MRP.
