@scorpy, first you need to check the hash for your downloaded firmware so that we can confirm whether it is corrupted or not, because SUT L3 should not give any errors. (Are you following proper steps )

1. Extract the firmware file (.nb0 file)

2. Install SUT L3 to your PC and run it

3. Choose "Next" then pick the firmware file (.nb0 file) that wanna to flash.

4. On the "User Option" choose "Erase User Data".

5. Turn off you device and go the the download mode (press vol up + power) and connected to PC

6. Choose "Next" and upgrade proscess will running wait until "Upgrade process is completed successfully" shows than choose "Finish"

For saving Battery Close GPRS and switch to GSM ONLY when you are not using the internet through phone, and root your device, SetCPU and Titanium Backup (For removing bloatware)

also i wasnt able to root my phone .. all went well but at the end i typed su and still got permission denied using free radicals tut ... also I tried a method to allow terminal emulator app thru superuser but when i started terminal emulator and typed su i got permission denied and no pop up to allow it using superuser ... so now what to do ?

Really strange that SUT L3 is giving you that error. Which ROM are you using now? Try downloading the file again and check.

Also, check FR's article comments. I have put a alternate method based on FR's. It worked for paarkhi and I think it will work for you. Let me know.
 
^saw the tut ill try and reply later in the day ... just one more question .. should i delete user data and cache and reinstall cherry mobile ? or just do it on top of my failed attempt to root .. cos superuser app is already installed in my phone
 
Hey guys ,one last question before i get my hands on this device and enter the league .

I know many are complaining about the battery life but does it atleast last the entire day from morning to night , i dont want it to die on me . My ussage will be

1.5-2 hours music through headphones ,20-25 calls , 30 mins gaming , 15-30mins video , occasional 3-4 camera snaps , 30 mins browsing via wifi , other occasional stuffs like reading PDf's , showoff etc .

Please do reply

One more thing thats bothering me is the multitouch , i didnt understand the exact function of that , can some1 explain its uses .

Yes, it may last for a day with the usage you said(you may need to undervolt it after rooting as all your usages are not soo CPU intensive), and multi-touch is only 2 fingers on this phone for pinch to zoom anywhere (documents, browsing, photo gallery) etc...

@Scorpy, its written clearly to Erase all user Data, please do so to get clear and error free new ROM flash, please check the md or CRC Hash of the firmware file you want to flash and post it here

If this is not the same then I think your downloaded firmware flash file is corrupted and you'll need to download it again
 
yay got my micro-sd 8gb class 10 card (transcend) from flipkart....
tried on my phone....1 thing i got to tell you guyz 720p recording is not at all jerky......its close to smooth and good for average user.
this phone really rocks...now 1 thing left for this phone is the gingerbread official update from spice...w8ing!!!!!!!

I used SuperOneClickv1.7-ShortFuse to root on the stock firmware. I chose the rageagainstthecage exploit. Try that.

OK Got it Working.......Now

Stupid NOD32 Deleted "rageagainstthecage" When I Extracted It Form The Zip File, Had To Disable NOD32

Got Rooted Now To Install SetCPU, RootExplorer, Titanium Backup Ect.

its not the official one dude, but its a leaked version in Malaysia. It may void in the warranty..... :)

More stable than Cherry atleast, I used both Spice CSL and Cherry, Didn't use Wellcom
 
^what exactly do u mean by stable .. i havent encountered any random rebooting or anything other crashes like that .... :/ ...

Cherry was rebooting every now and then when WiFi is on (atleast for me)
