Spice Mi 410 smartphone. 1Ghz snapdragon | 4.1" | Froyo | 5MP | 15K

Friends have an issue with the camera. Since today whenever I am opeing the camera, the camera app seems to get stuck or shows blank screen.
after sometime it shows "Activity Camera (in application Camera) is not respoding" with options of Force Close and Wait only.

Am on stock unrooted OS. Tried to force close and clear Camera app data, reboot, reomove SD card as well but no avail. Please help.

Does this seem to be a software issue or Hardware ? What to do now?

Sounds like a software issue, you can try some other camera app first from the market and see or else wipe user data and cache and check in the last case scenario

Its Not A Software Issue For Sure....

Try Changing Your Firmware, If That Does Not Help Then Flash CSL 2.2 Firmware And Send It To The Service Center.

I Think We have A Hardware Problem With This Device

yay got my micro-sd 8gb class 10 card (transcend) from flipkart....
tried on my phone....1 thing i got to tell you guyz 720p recording is not at all jerky......its close to smooth and good for average user.
this phone really rocks...now 1 thing left for this phone is the gingerbread official update from spice...w8ing!!!!!!!
Interesting. I was wondering if the reason my videos were a bit jerky was because of the slow read/write speeds of my Class 2 card.

I am also using class 10 16gb card. I cant find any difference on Video. I tried inbuild video recording and lgcamera. I think lgcamera pro is more better. any other better app for HD recording

try HDR Camera. It takes 3 shots and processes it into one image giving a pseudo HD effect.

i'm gonna try the CSL Gingerbread tonight. The Cherry Mobile restarts sometimes.

If anyone else finds the output of the stereo a lil on the low side, check out Volume+ on the market( Gingerbread required). It seems to work.

Try using another memory card. Since you're on stock, you can take it for servicing if other camera apps also give the same problem. Or if you have your data backed up , do a factory reset.

Hi buddies, I am in dilemma of getting Mi-410 or Defy, or may be for front camera spend up a bit more.

Have some doubts about screen quality and battery backup of Mi410

Is the screen quality and visibility good (in sunlight and at some angle)

Upto which android update is it expected to get ?

Screen quality is good and you can see from any angle in sunlight if brightness is set to Auto and battery backup is OK and the phone comes with Froyo, Spice says to release GB but when that is not confirmed and don't know about Ice-cream Sandwich.... but one thing gripe is There is absolutely no Dev support for this phone

@warewolf4586 Screen quality is awesome.... even in Sunlight visibility is great (on highest brightness mode). Tilting and angle will not affect visibility..... About battery backup it last for a day and about updates you can see then within a months, as its in some of the community..... Unofficial updates are available and I am using them only........ remaining is with you .....

@ Scorpy: cherry ROM was more battery consuming, got freeze automatically and restart automatically...... which is exactly opposite to CSL ROM, which are less battery consuming, didn't get freeze yet and restart once only for me..... That is what I experience from those ROM

What about 18 month rule? It seems google has asked manufacturers to support the hansets with updates for atleast 18 months from the release date. So since Spice model was released in June 2011, I think they should get Ice cream update, RIGHT??

Guys I have no problem with cherry rom now ... after rooting and removing all that timepass software its awesome .. its fast and smooth .. also battery was almost full after I woke up in the morning ... otherwise before it became 100% to red day before yest when i slept and woke up in the morning o_O ....

Also did you guys install Chainfire 3d ? I installed it and when I install its driver and the phone restarts the touch buttons dont have any backlight also the screen is at 100% brightness and you cannot change it from the display options as the bar is at 0 and if u move it still nothing happens ... I want it to play samurai vengeance 2 on my phone ... but if it causes this nonsense then whats the use ... or am i doing something wrong ? Anyone can help with this ?

^^ i think 18 months rule is wrong ....u know why?

because it is upto the manufacturer to release the updates for their phones not google(unless its a google phone)

the phone manufacturers in 18 months long time release atleast 2~8 handsets with better hardware for that they need better software

if their own old phone still supports the latest software who will buy their new phones?

for example see on of the forerunner company "Sony" still some of their phones are running android 1.6 upgradable upto 2.1..!

"so the point is....we as consumer are on the mercy of our mobile manufacturer to release updates for our beloved phones"

Good news is as long as one of the (six?) manufacturers of this phone keep it up to date we're good. it does require you to flash your phone with a custom ROM though so ..

@max_s: Currently LG, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, AT&T, Vodafone, Sprint, Samsung, HTC and Verizon Wireless are onboard with 18 month rule. You are right from manufacturer standpoint that in order to maximize profit and be competitive is to release new products. But this rule will be a great thing to Google and consumers. Us consumers are really hesitant to buy a new phone, Why? Once we buy it, there is a better one in the horizon. So we decide to wait and wait. But with 18 month google program, atleast we know that we are supported when we buy the product. The manufacturers need to understand that 18 month rule might be beneficial for them to push phones into market. Because now people will buy phones with comfort that for next 18 months their phones will be supported with updates.

Also it seems the general consensus is that the manufacturers mentioned above are onboard with this rule.

I want shift from cherry mobile 2.3 to CSL 2.3 does anyone have the working link. I tried downloading many times for the link given on this forum. But All the time I try to upgrade it says File corrupted. Why all the time its showing the same message. How to get it done. cherry one is gving lots of issues.
