The most shocking part would be the exclusion of Dead Space 2! Not a single nomination in any of the categories. Very very sad! The game released early this year during January, got very good reviews and got buried. :(

WOW! No nomination for Gears of War 3 and Deus Ex: Human Revolutions for GOTY? WTF Spike? The list is a complete joke.
 
Some interesting nominations there. No Witcher 2 in Best RPG. No Battlefield 3 in Best Graphics. No Crysis 2 anywhere (which is good, should teach Crytek something). But where is the worst games category? I would nominate Crysis 2 for that.

I wanted to vote for Witcher 2 but was missing from the list. But I am pretty sure I am going to love Skyrim more than Witcher 2, when I begin the playthrough. :P
 
2011 is packed with so many high quality games its difficult to select 1 as GOTY.DEUS EX,Withcher,BF3,SKYRIM,Batman,Portal etc.I want all of them to win:D
 
Other than the awards, it appears that several new titles are bound to be announced during the event.

- CliffyB is gearing up for a 'fresh new experience' based on a project Epic Games is currently working on.

- BioWare is expected to announce their new IP.

- Hideo Kojima is supposed to unveil more on MGS: Rising.

- The next Alan Wake title (Night Springs?) may be announced.

- Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Patriots, Bioshock: Infinite, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron may get world premieres.
 
This is a jury based nomination and winners too are based on jury not on voting
 
It is sad to see Witcher 2 missing from Best RPG category. Instead they have put Dragon Age 2!

Also, ME2's arrival DLC was pretty meh! But, I guess they put it cause they wanted to suck up to Bioware since they are using this to announce their next IP.

Also, J.K. Simmons as Cave Johnson was spectacular!

Gears 3 was one of the most enjoyed title of the year.
 
Portal 2 and skyrim reap rewards just as expected. Both are awesome.
