Re: Starcraft 2 to be split into a trilgoy

3 epic Blizzard RTS's instead of just one? Bring it on!

More like 1 game split into 3. Pathetic! Seriously, If there's only one campaign per game, then they better be 20-30 scenario campaigns or I'll just wait for the gold combined edition or something.

Re: Starcraft 2 to be split into a trilgoy

^The dude in the interview saiid that it was about 30 missions per Part.

The multiplayer will be fully functional with all 3 races playable from the 1st part itself

And this will be spread over a few years ~1 a year is targeted.

If this means 3x Blizzard vids then more power to them :D

Re: Starcraft 2 to be split into a trilgoy

They are not 3 games , it's just a tactic to sell more :p . There's always a hunger to see a high figure in sales THUS all these tactics come into being :eek:hyeah: :p

Re: Starcraft 2 to be split into a trilgoy

Didn't think much of the WOTLK trailer myself. But the detail standards were still Hollywood level.

All time bests are the intro sequence from Diablo 2 expansion (a decade ago) and when Arthas kills his father in Warcraft 3.
Hell, most games coming out today can't match the quality of CG in those videos.

Starcraft 2 delayed to 2010

Today we announced that StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty will not be ready for release by the end of 2009. Over the past couple of weeks, it has become clear that it will take longer than expected to prepare the new Battle.net for the launch of the game. The upgraded Battle.net is an integral part of the StarCraft II experience and will be an essential part of all of our games moving forward. This extra development time will be critical to help us realize our vision for the service.

Our mission is to develop games that deliver an epic entertainment experience. As part of that commitment, we will always take as much time as needed to ensure that our games and services meet the expectations of our players and the standard for quality that we set for ourselves as developers. As we work to make Battle.net the premier online gaming destination, we’ll also continue to polish and refine StarCraft II, and we look forward to delivering a real-time strategy gaming experience worthy of the series’ legacy in the first half of 2010.

We will share more details about the beta, Battle.net, and StarCraft II’s launch in the future. Keep an eye on the official website at StarCraft II for updates, and as always, thank you for your continued enthusiasm and support for StarCraft II and all of Blizzard Entertainment’s games.

Blue's News: Story - StarCraft II Delayed

Re: Starcraft 2 delayed to 2010

They are in no hurry whatsoever. And why should they be?? They have World of Warcraft in their backyard, which is more like a plantation of literal money trees.

Re: Starcraft 2 delayed to 2010

I can't wait for the release date, but as I can see it will be even a miracle to be released in 2010

Re: Starcraft 2 delayed to 2010

Blizzard are the greatest gaming company to have existed, yes even better than ID and Epic in my opinion. Every single game of theirs from warcraft to starcraft to wow has gone on to utterly destroy the competition.

If they're delaying the game its because it doesnt meet their own expectations. They should take all the time they want, just make starcraft II worthy of the starcraft lineage.
