Graphic Cards Suggest a GPU for 7K

What make is the 4890? How many years of warranty remaining? IINM a new 4890 costs about 11k today. So take into account all these factors before you take the plunge.

You shouldn't have problems playing it ont he 40 incher either way. And yeah your new PSU can take that without breaking a sweat.

it is an xfx 4890 1gb.
 
What more suggestions do you need? We have already put it across.

I'd vote for the 4890 1GB. The pricing however, depends on the remaining warranty and how long it was used.
 
HD 4890 would be far better than 5770 for these games but GTA IV is more CPU dependent, despite of having a Quad Core CPU people get low fps due to badly optimized game for PC. Only con of 4890 is not having DX11 support but that means little as you'll still be able to play all the future games without much loss of performance. An HD 4890's performance is as good as HD 5850's if not 5870's (check some Benchmarks, google it). Gofor the HD 4890 provided it si under warranty period & try the card if possible before buying.
 
I am a bit confused. I also have an offer for a used MSI 4850 512mb for Rs.4250. There is a 2 year warranty remaining on the card. Will it be a good bargain for the price?

Yes. New ones sell for ~6.5k and the price quoted is decent. But u need a good power supply to run the card. The generic powersupply that comes with the cabinets will not be enough to power the card and trying to use them may even damage the card. What Power supply do u have ?

Edit: Just checked the previous posts. Seems u got a CoolerMaster Silent Pro 500w :D You are good to go. I would suggest u to change the processor too. It will act as bottleneck IINM. Try to get a used E7300/E7400(3-3.5k). You should find decent deals in the members market.

Also the HD4850 decent enough for HD gaming but you cant expect it play all games with high settings in HD resolution. As you have a very good PSU try getting a used HD4870. Its better for HD gaming and slightly out performs the HD5770. But change the proccy first.

Best option is to go for a 4870 and save some cash for the processor.

That CPU isn't going to help and you seem to ignore the suggestions given by members to change it.

I am also looking for GPU.

I have Radeon 4850 in mind. Please note that different modals are available in same chipset. Radeon 4850 is available with as well as without HDMI and VGA port which which is a big price variable. Price also varies with better cooler for processor.

Many 9800GTX, 250GTS, Radeon 4870, Radeon 4890 requires two 6-pin-PCIe inputs. Generally only 550+ watt PSUs bears two or more 6-pin-PCIe power interfaces. Since you upgraded, that won't be a problem for you but no scope for Crossfire or Sli in future.

So check for your future needs and your HDMI requirement.

You should know that 4850 produces to much heat. 80c+ is normal for this gpu.
 
You gotta be kidding!!.

Your CPU will bottleneck GTA4. The game requires quad core with 4 GB RAM to perform well. Upgrade to phenom II X4 or better and 4GB RAM and then upgrade GPU. With your current CPU and RAM, upgrading GPU wont help with GTA 4. It will most probably be unplayable even at low settings.
